Tequila Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Freeburg

I went there about 3 in the afternoon, counting on it to be quiet and not busy. Which it was. I was quickly greeted by the nice lady who was also my server. She was friendly and efficient. We had a couple of misunderstandings over the drink, but no biggie. I ordered the fajita taco salad and was very clear about no sour cream. (Bleah... sorry...gagging in the traditional meaning of not liking sour cream. WTH is the purpose of it anyway?!) So, enjoying the chips and salsa and the margarita and here comes the taco fajita salad, with steak. I wish I'd had a spoon because it was sooo soupy. And creamy. (Gag) Apparently the cook poured the fajita stir fry directly into the crispy taco bowl with all the drppings...thus combining the melting cheese, sour cream (retch/gag), creating a broth in the middle. Very little salad. Just this questionable cream-based broth that was definitely not salad dressing. I was so hungry, I ate it anyway without complaint. The only other thing is, please fix the toilet seat in the ladies' so it doesn't pinch anyone else's bits. Still...a nice place that I'll be sure to revisit. If they'll have me after...

Went for lunch, Patty was our server, she was very pleasant and efficient. We were served a basket of hot fresh tortilla chips and 2 bowls of excellent salsa as soon as we were seated, Patty took our drink order on this initial trip to our table, she returned with our beverages almost immediately and took our entree orders during drink service, less than 5 minutes later our meals were served they eere hot and fresh with steam still rising from the plates. I had a Chimichanga and my guest had the Carnitas both were absolutely delicious. Everything about Tequila and Patty was just right, other establishments in the area could take lessons from this place and our server Patty she deserved the 25% tip she received whilst most servers don't deserve the 8% to cover their taxes let alone the sympathy 15 to 20 % most overly nice...

The customer service here was terrible. Party of 4 of us stopped in for an early dinner last Sunday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't super busy, we sat outside. There was a table in the shade we wanted to sit at instead of the others in the sun but something had been spilled all over it. There was a waiter and waitress standing a few feet away talking. I motioned to them for one of them to come over but they ignored me for a couple minutes. Finally the waiter came over. I asked him if we could get that other table cleaned and he said 'No, we're busy' and walked away! So we sat at a table in the sun instead. I ordered the Freeburg Special but the food was mediocre at best. I only ate a few bites then took the rest to go but threw it away at home. And it wasn't cheap either. $75 without alcohol. Definitely...
