Pies In Poet's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Freehold Township

A few weeks ago, you're place of business was out on vacation but your online service was still up and running. I was charged for pizza (plus tip) which I never received. I received confirmation for my order and waited 90 minutes before calling (not 60 minutes which I was told) and after I waited a hour and a half I called, and nobody picked up, so that was cool. Anyway, I went by the next day and saw the sign on the door that you were closed for another 2 days. I called when reopened and was told I would receive my refund. It's been 16 days and I have yet to receive it. called again and was told the same thing. Still nothing.

I could have went to pizza hut and paid half the price and got my pizza in 30 minutes (or less). There is one literally 6 min from my house. I ordered from you because I heard that the food was good and I don't mind paying a little extra if it's worth it.

I get it, things happen. I'm annoyed because nothing was done to fix it. You have my order number, name, phone number & address. I never received a call to see if it was taken care of. I was never told that we'll deliver your order anyway, considering I already paid for it. It's a shame because I will no longer bother with your place of business. If I receive my refund, great. If I don't, I will always remember that essentially your place of business take people's money without giving the product. Sounds like...

Located in the Poet's Square Mall, the restaurant is nice and clean. I go there for convenience but that's it. The dining area is nice but dark. I could eat there when I have my slice or two, but it seems reserved for full meals.

There are only 5 or 6 small cafe tables for a quick bite but most are taken up by drivers waiting for next delivery, folding pizza boxes, or staff eating.

The staff often grouses at each other or complain in general. They have a lot of exotic pizza choices, but often run out of the staples like pepper & onion and mushroom. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a bunch of dimes as change because they ran out of quarters. I've placed my order and gone outside for a phone call to return to the waiter forgetting to place my order. Little stuff like that. Nothing terrible, but it adds up.

In short, the management or owner needs to pay a little more attention to his store. Make it run better, sharpen up what the staff is doing (and where they're doing it) and make me not want to drive another mile for a better place to spend my lunch money.

The pizza is pretty good, but then it's pizza. You have to work hard...

First time ordering here and so glad I did! Delivery on time and hot. Got the fresh prince cheesteak in a gluten free wrap and it was delicious. My daughter got a pepperoni roll, which she is a connoisseur of, and said it was the best she’s ever had. Portions were way beyond expected. Definitely making this our go to from now on!

Have ordered from here a few times since my first time and all food continues to be delicious and well made. My daughter ordered a stromboli tonight and it was huge and flavorful. I’ve gotten two different gluten free wraps and both delicious. Another time I got a salad with the grilled shrimp, always a risk getting shrimp, but they were big and crisp and delicious. Unfortunately, tonight I decided to try a California burger. I don’t know if they’re just out of their regular burgers, because I’ve never had one here before, or if the description is misleading, because this was the worst hamburger I have ever had. They were thin, rubbery, and very dry, and no flavor. I hate giving a bad review, but this was barely edible if it wasn’t for...
