Garden Chen — Restaurant in Freeland

I ordered a sesame chicken dinner combo and an order of crab rangoon. This was my first time here. The restaurant was very cold inside (January and I don’t think they run the heat at all…so only warm if you’re actually the one cooking). They only accept cash, which is very annoying these days.

The sesame chicken was fine, but the fried rice was terrible. Very dry, no flavor, and had the consistency of boil-in-a-bag rice. And the crab rangoon were way over cooked; a dark brown and very crunchy. The lady even gave them a double take as she pulled them from the fryer, but served them to me anyways. She was eating in the back when I got there to pick up my order and it seemed as though she had forgotten about the items in the fryer until she started to look for the pieces...

Employees were kind and inviting, food was timely made and wasn't bad, I put mustard on it without thinking before I took the picture it was light on the chicken n broccoli sauce but the broccoli was beautifully "extra cooked" upon request. next time I will be asking for extra sauce on the chicken n broccoli but they did give me plenty of packets of sauce after i asked for them. Typical Chinese Restaurant. Nothing to write home about. 1st time there and before I left they came out and said that they had mixed up the order. They brought the bag back in, I don't know what they changed, but when I got home the order was in fact, not right.
