The Other Side — Restaurant in Freeland

I stopped in The Otherside Bar & Grill last night, and had a very good experience!

I am from the Freeland area originally, I've been out of town for about 2 years, and coming back recently I decided to stop in. I was greeted by name, which was a pleasant experience, it felt like I never left home!

I ordered food, which was amazing! I got a chicken quesadilla, which was bigger than expected. And after a few drinks decided to try the French onion soup, which was out of this world good!

The bar staff was very courteous and checked on me often, I wasn't left with an empty glass for very long at all!

The owner of the establishment, which I hadn't seen for quite sometime, came right up to me and shook my hand, we chatted for a brief moment before he went back to work. Yet another warming experience of my visit!

I wasn't sure what the experience would be like on my walk down, as I'm not the "bar type" of person, but I was surprised by how pleasant it was, and I'll definitely be...

This is a sorry excuse for a bar. If you drink beer your in luck.. if not than this is not the place for you. At any bar you should be able to order standard mixed drinks. This is the only bar I’ve ever went to that only serves beer and long islands and wine. if you like fruity and fun drinks like pina colada, and blue Hawaiian or anything like that you can not get that here. They only have liquor, beer and wine. it is extremely unsatisfying because they don’t even offer a drink menu!! I’ll go in and ask for 3 or 4 drinks and they say they don’t have the mix, or the purée or syrup and the fact that they don’t even offer a drink menu i end Up thinking.. “what can i order Then”??? absolutely not a good bar. I go in at 9:30 to order food and have a drink at which time I told by the bartender that the kitchen is closed and I'm on a conference call with my cousin sharing my opinion about this kitchen being closed at 9:30 while the bar is open until 2. The bartender jumps into my private conversation violating the first amendment and tells me "sir don't sit here if your gonna talk about the bar or owner!" Waaaaaaaa whaaa whaaaaaat? I wasn't rude I wasn't disrespectful I was sharing my opinion about the amount of money lost by choosing to close the kitchen at 9:30 and remain open until 2. OPINIONS ARE ILLEGAL HERE!
