Had the oxtails, rice and mcChesse. Oxtails one of the best I've ever had. Big meaty and flavorful. Mc n cheese hands down the best I've ever had. The rice was a little hard but that's an easy fix just a little more water in the pot. Corn bread taste really good little dry but taste great. Blueberry pie is really good too im definitely returning trying the rest of the menu 👍🏼

We were lucky enough to find Arlene's Soul Food & BBQ on our latest trip to Freeport, and we are SO happy we did! It's a small business located within a gas station and only has one table to sit at, so you'll probably want to do take out, but the food is amazing! Arlene, the friendly owner, gave us tastes of both the smoked brisket and oxtail she had available; both were delicious, as were the homemade sides and cornbread. Do Not Miss This Place!!!! If you do, you will miss some of the best food I have eaten, served by one of the nicest persons. Don't worry about where to sit....this food is so good, eating it while seated on the asphalt of the parking lot would still be a 5 Star eating experience.
