FYI, I am going to post the most updated menu in photos. Take a look!
This is an amazing little place, and it is so easy to access from the highway!
When I walk in, I feel like I just walked into a converted factory with high ceilings and lighting.
From the owner to employees, everyone is constantly wearing a smile. You are greeted like an old friend.
The food is delicious. There is too much to say, so allow me to comment on the pizza sticks alone. Have you ever had a Sicilian pizza? You know the one. It's the thick, square pizza, the one who everyone fights for the corner because it's so crunchy. Yeah, if you get these pizza sticks, imagine two slices of Sicilian where you get two corners that you don't have to fight over. It's so cheesy! The sauce is mouthwatering.
If you want a unique soda, take a look at the cooler. That's just the tip of the Nighthawks menu.
Also, who doesn't appreciate a restaurant who spends the extra money to offer all Heinz products - down to the malt vinegar, the most coveted condiment for French fries.
Now, let's talk about just one of the desserts. Are you familiar with cheesecakes? Of course you are! MOST restaurant cheesecakes fall off the back of a Sysco truck. NO WAY! NOT THIS ONE!
They have at least three flavors of New York style each week. This is how much they love their customers. Katherine's Bakery in Norway, Maine, delivers them fresh-baked. Katherine's Bakery was just named as one of TripAdvisor's "Maine's Hidden Gems" this year.
Go. Feast. Walk away momentarily completely satisfied, but wanting...
Read moreDespite all the bad reviews, I thought the pictures of the food looked good online so I decided to try this place with my boyfriend.
Flat out, I do not recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality burger.
We got two different burgers and they were extremely overly salty. It might be the Burger seasoning or the salt that's added ontop of it after it's done cooking. Burger King and McDonald's fries are a quarter less salty than these burgers for comparison.
I couldn't eat my whole burger and neither could my boyfriend, cause the salt. It was practically unbearable and highly noticable within the first bite.
The edges were extremely crispy, burnt.
The burger was cooked as follows, burnt on the edges, medium on the inner part and medium rare in the center.
The buns were very cheap, low quality like Hannaford burger buns, 18 pack for $2.99
These burgers should be about $8 and I would expect these to be more at a snack shack, or at a gas station under a heat lamp, but only if the salt is removed.
Burgers do not look like the photos.
I think alot of their positive reviews are probably from friends and family.
Here's the positive feedback, I picked up my order in 15 minutes from the time of ordering by phone.
No I don't need a refund or gift card lol, thanks.
And yes, I left your...
Read moreLast weekend a friend of ours introduced us to @nighthawkkitchen in Freeport, ME (off exit 20!)
We feel literally blessed to have found this place! A smart decision by them and @mastlanding for teaming up!
@nighthawkkitchen provides the food for the brewery and man is it a killer combination!
From the quality of the food to the way it’s served you can just tell even before eating it you are in for a treat!
Careful consideration went into every single part of nighthawk’s kitchen! He is incredible! The heirloom beet salad and the night mana was my fav that day but man it is an understatement to say we will be back and will try everything on this menu! The design, astethics, art work AND PARKING LOL is perfect!
We have two young kids and this place is perfect! Get there right when they open and you’ll have both places to yourselves for about an hour before the place gets packed!
I want to say so much more but then it wouldn’t be as cool of an experience for everyone else! I’ll leave you with this… nighthawk puts his heart and sole into this and you can tell! His beautiful wife and kids are right there with him and you can just tell that family put this together! I love being around this! Thank you Molly and Nighthawk!...
