Bull Pen Cafe — Restaurant in Fremont

This place is worth a stop. We are heading toward Toledo from Chicago and wanted something that wasn’t fast food for dinner but didn’t want to take too much time off of our drive. So we found the Bullpen Cafe online and called ahead to order our meals to go. The building is old but immaculate! I’m not kidding. The owner was literally cleaning as I came in to use the restroom. Super nice by the way! I noticed the dining room was spotless as well. The food was hot and on time. 20 minutes as promised. My daughter said her chicken bacon ranch wrap was the best she’s had. My husband ordered an omelette and I had the smothered chicken -all delicious! They had a great menu. We had a hard time making a choice… it all sounded great. I wish I would have taken photos. The meals looked great… even in to-go containers. This is the kind of place I like to support. We are planning to stop again on the way back home! Thanks for the great meal and friendly...

My family was taking a car trip from Indiana to Michigan and we stopped in at Bull Pen Cafe about 10 minutes before they closed on a Sunday. It was about the only thing open aside from fast food joints. Rather than being rushed with us, the friendly staff greeted us, let us know the kitchen was closing soon, and asked if we would like to put in an order. Our lunches came out quickly and everything was delicious - Philly cheese steak hoagie for me, breakfast sandwich for my wife, chicken strips and chicken bacon ranch for the boys, and cheese sandwich for the baby. Service was attentive and despite our late arrival, they made us feel welcome and relaxed. Before our food came and without asking our waitress brought us some crackers and apple sauce for the baby, who she could tell was hungry. We had a great lunch here and would recommend it to anybody. Worst breakfast experience I've had in decades. Wife ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered a breakfast sausage bagel. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our drink orders while dropping off menus. We received our drinks and placed our order when she returned. Then the bad experience started. She disappeared, our drinks went empty and she was nowhere in sight, but none of the other girls offered to refill our drinks. When "our" waitress returned (17 minutes) she filled our drinks and said she would check on our order. Our food came out at 52 minutes. The wife said her food was OK.
