Milk and Honey Cafe is by far one of the BEST Taiwanese restaurants I’ve been to by region — because to be honest, there aren’t that much Taiwanese restaurants left in the Bay Area, especially in Fremont. They’re owned by our very own District 1 Councilmember, Teresa — and have been such a staple part of the Ardenwood and North Fremont community (even people who live in Irvington and Warm Springs make the drive just to have such soulful food like Milk and Honey!). The last time I went, we had to wait a teeny bit, but the wait wasn’t too long — maybe at maximum 10 minutes when the restaurant is FULL of patrons, especially on the weekends. The best time to avoid the restaurant is usually at 6:30pm (which is the peak time when most people get off or have most of their activities done).
Equally impressive is the cafe's commitment to serving good food, with a menu that showcases a mix of classic and innovative dishes. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, guaranteeing both quality and flavor in every bite. The diverse menu offers something for everyone, from hearty breakfast options to delicious coffee, making it a favorite among locals and newcomers alike. Patrons often rave about the cafe's signature dishes, which reflect meticulous attention to detail in both presentation and taste. At Milk and Honey Cafe, the combination of excellent hospitality and delightful cuisine ensures a memorable dining experience that keeps guests coming...
Read moreWe found this restaurant on Google amongst the top 5 Taiwanese restaurants in the East Bay. We were really after the food because all of us were starving after a long drive. The first impression we had after we walked into the restaurant was that it felt like someone’s living room - there are two chandeliers, some couches and some shelves at the front. We waited for about 10 mins before we got seated and were greeted by a very courteous server who speaks Mandarin. There are 4 of us, and we ended up ordering a spicy beef noodle in soup, a fried chicken bento, a fried pork chop bento and a pepper and salt pork chop. Every dish is delicious and in huge portion. We also ordered one black sugar milk and one strawberry pudding and boba milk. Both are as large as McDonald’s super size drink and they are fully loaded and taste fantastic. The server checked in with us a couple of times to see to refill our water and see if we like our food. We are all very satisfied with the dinner and walked out with...
Read moreNice small local business that seems to have a lot of connections with the patrons. Came here on a Sunday and they were very up-front about their soft-opening phase and possible delays in the kitchen. However the food came out quickly and I was pleasantly satisfied with the food. The personal hotpots were very large and had a good amount of ingredients within them, competitive or even winning against the nearby Tasty Pot in Newark. I would argue that the portions here were larger actually with a comparable price ~12 to 13 dollars. Their milk tea was creamy and priced fairly but what stood out to me was their Steamed Pork Burger (Gua Bao). The buns were 5 or 6 dollars for 3 buns with sizable and juicy fatty pork and pickled veggies. I was told that it was authentic since they were both savory and sweet, but since it was my first time trying it, I can't vouch for that fact. Anyway, the buns were pretty good and I enjoyed them...
