Cupcakes and More — Restaurant in Fresno

In spite of the negative reviews, I decided to give this place a try. Bad idea. I went in before work to get treats for the office, only to find no product in the cases out front & no menu/pricing posted on the wall. These are standard-sized cupcakes, individually priced at well over $3 each. There's no price break for purchasing a dozen (which would be a good marketing tool). I purchased a dozen and told them to just give me a variety--which they did. However, these were NOT freshly baked--they were at least a day old, if not 2,(and yes, I do know the difference!) and the flavor was nothing special. Sure, they were frosted & some had sprinkles--but again, nothing special. I could have done them myself at home--at least they'd have been fresh. I will not be returning. Stopped in for the first time as I needed some good cupcakes for my husbands’s birthday.

The customer service was excellent! The nice young man helping me was friendly and helpful. The selection of cupcakes looked fresh and very tempting so I bought one dozen with a mix of flavors and they were DELICIOUS!!!! My only wish was that they had more frosting on them, but that’s just me, I LOVE buttercream frosting and could eat it by the spoonful.

The cupcakes were all so good. The flavors were rich and spot on. You can tell they use quality ingredients and not fake flavors, like the lemon cupcake… that one was a triumph! It had a fresh and bright lemon flavor that leaves you wanting more.

Sooo. The bakery shut down for the summer. And I’m guessing they SOLD the business! Because the food IS NOT THE SAME. Cupcakes are NOT as Moist as they used to be. The cookies are close and they were still pretty good, but they’re just not the same. I normally like the lemon cupcakes because they had actual lemon on the inside. Mine had no lemon on the inside and it was DRY. And they had regular size cupcakes and small, but my regular size was REALLY small compared to the ones with the other owner. Paid $2.25 for a regular cookie not bad. But ADDED $1 for walnuts. lol reg cupcake was $4.95 All and all. Disappointed. But might still go get a cookie...
