The cake was incredible! The service was lacking.
We chose Frosted Cakery as our cake vendor because when my husband and I first moved in together we lived in an apartment right behind the Tower District location and we really wanted to incorporate those early days of our relationship into the big day. The cake itself was beautiful and delicious. We chose honey butter and lemon as the flavors and guests loved both! We had so many people taking pictures of the cake which was the perfect combination of our inspiration photo and made for a great backdrop to our sweetheart's table.
The customer service was spotty. We had a great cake tasting and we left the appointment confident that they understood our vision. A few days after the final payment was made I checked-in via email to confirm our flavors see if there was any additional questions. I never received a response. My mom called both locations and never was able to talk to someone about our cake. My planner also emailed and called. Finally, our planner go ahold of someone who claimed to have left me several voicemails which was simply untrue. They finally called me and once again claimed they had left voicemails but my call log showed that this was the first call I had from them. I was very nervous that the cake would just not show up on the day of, but my wedding planner added them to her follow-up list and confirmed all the details so I didn't have to worry about it anymore. Without my planner that interaction over the phone would have sent me into full-blown panic mode.
In the end, the cake was perfect! I just wish their communication...
Read moreI had an appointment for a wedding cake tasting at the Bullard location. I paid 25 dollars for the appointment. I was under the impression that I would get to taste several kinds of cakes. as the appointment progressed, A list of different types of cakes was shown and when we asked to sample a piece, we were told there wasn't any. all in all, we only tried one slice of cake and two cupcakes.
The lady in charge would tell us that they ran out of several flavors. We had this appointment set for three weeks and I feel like they should have been prepared for our appointment. She never even attempted to give us any other options to try the samples, there was another employee that was very gracious and offered to get us a sampler of different cakes to try but the owner looked at her and shot down the idea. I am not sure if the main lady was having a rough day but it seemed like she didn't care to try to accommodate us. We were not asking for much, just to get our money's worth. This was my first time wedding cake sampling and I feel like they should have been prepared for our appointment. If I am in the wrong, I will gladly change my rating.
It seems like my fiancé and I were treated differently than other people who've had appointments with this company. I really hope that race wasn't an issue since we are an interracial couple. All the other couples who recommended this place to us had great experiences except for us. If I am in the wrong, I will gladly revise my post and score. Read moreThis was my first time ordering with Frosted Cakery, I’ve had their cupcakes before when my friend ordered them for an event I had.. My daughter was turning 5 and I decided to order her cupcakes the Sundae Cupcake.. I’m a teacher and had 4 zoom meetings and wasn’t able to leave my house, so I ordered on Door Dash.. The delivery person delivered to the wrong house and then brought them to me after, I told her “wrong house” she blamed her GPS. My son Received the order and quickly hid them from my daughter. After my zoom meetings my son said mom the box looks dirty, I look at the box and there is frosting fingerprints all over 2 cupcakes missing and another 2 cupcakes had what looked like a finger gouged them.. I called Door Dash who wanted to credit me $9.00.. that was the cost of the 2 cupcakes. That didn’t even cover the $8.00 dollar tip or service fee.. I called Frosted Cakery to warn them about my dasher delivery..and Suggest taping the boxes so we can tell if it’s been tampered with .. Emily answered and was amazing she talked to her boss and both were very apologetic and did everything to save the day.. Replaced my order and even delivered it to me..
