Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat was supposed to be a quick grab and go, ended up being a 40 minute wait!!! And get this, it was only for two orders of steam rolls. This was a bad first experience.
I saw their Facebook post of packaged deli goods to go. I stopped by for steam rolls and banana sweet rice wraps. I ordered and paid. Was told, there were no more steam rolls already packaged. I'll have to wait 10 mins. Fine, I can wait 10 mins. One of their guest who was already dinning in when I arrived came to the register and ordered more food to go, steam rolls being a part of it. They put her ticket in front of mine saying she was there first and told me it'll just be a little more wait time. While I look at the time stamp on my ticket (3:18pm), I noticed it said STICKY RICE. No, I didn't want sticky rice. I wanted the banana coconut sweet sticky rice. There was a misunderstanding, so my sticky rice was swapped for eggrolls. Fine, I wait some more, as I've already paid and cannot go elsewhere. I needed to get somewhere after grabbing food. The whole time I waited there, I observed about 8 workers running around in the kitchen. It's open, so I'm looking right into all the action. 1 guy in the front and a lady who's clearly the owner. Some were working, some were eating and some were just walking around. The owner was also running around between a table she was eating at, to the front register and also the kitchen. They have no system. The cashier takes the order, then yells back into the kitchen with the order. It was very chaotic. One staff came out from the kitchen eating something with his hands and then straight to touch the cash register. Not even kidding. After seeing how long I waited, the owner gave me a free mung bean dessert to make up for it. It was a nice gesture, but doesn't equal to the ridiculous wait time for a two item order. It was my bad, I allowed myself to wait that long. So... to conclude, I probably won't be back.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing this review as of 9/21/2021. I went to LA Kitchen a few times for take out. I am impressed by the cleanliness, the friendly people there, the authentic tasty food and freshness of all ingredients. Never did I taste a tad of old piece of meat in the middle of a dish or passed out vegetables. The chicken larb was delicious and generous portion compared to other places, and the lettuce leaf layered under the larb was fresh and clean. Anywhere else you cannot have chicken larb, it's like inexistent. Most places offer pork or beef larb only. The food is healthy because they do not use food coloring all over their dishes and I'll repeat, it is fresh. If they use MSG, they must use it sparingly because I did not fall asleep after eating and I did not get sick. In the contrary, after eating their food, I felt invigorated. That is what good food is supposed to do to you. Their place is clean, not greasy. No smelly air in this place that gets on your hair, skin and clothes. They make food like you would make it at home, clean, tasty, without going overboard with salt, soy sauce, fish sauce, or any seasoning for that matter, just the right amount of everything. It was about time that such a place opens up in Fresno where good Southeast Asia eateries are hard to find. Now may I make a small suggestion? I would not mind to pay a little more for egg rolls if they would add shredded carrots, and black mushrooms, or you know what is missing. I like their egg rolls, so please do not get me wrong here. As a matter of fact, I had ordered many egg rolls one day, and the tray was beautifully displayed and garnished. I highly recommend this place. It has a good feeling and the people are pleasant and really...
