Service was extremely friendly and attentive. I was very happy with how quick our orders were taken and waters refilled.
We got the Thai boat noodle, crispy pork belly, and pad see ew.
The good:
Crispy pork belly was indeed crispy and overall good. But if you've ever been to LA and had some from Sam woo, you'll know that the pork is not as tender as it could be. The skin was slightly stale (too much chew, it should break apart a little easier). Even so, it is not a bad dish. B-
The pad see ew was flavorful with a good amount of meat and veggies. Noodles were more on the Al dente side which is something I prefer even though pad see ew usually has softer noodles. Nothing phenomenal, still good execution, B+.
Bathroom and interior is well lit and clean.
The bad:
The Thai boat noodle was so damn salty. It had way too much of the soup base. I like my noodle soup with the ingredients kind of unseasoned, it balances a flavorful broth. That is not the case here.
We went so far as to remove the noodles and meat out of the soup. And you could still taste the broth (and salt!) in the ingredients.
I think they overshot the time the rice noodles need in boiling water and, personally, I don't think the water needs to be salted. Maybe a little would be okay, but the Thai boat base was already too much to handle.
Thai boat noodle gets a D.
Parking is easy, area isn't super nice, but that can't really be helped. I'd come again, but I wouldn't make a grand effort. Overall, it...

From the look outside, it doesn't seem too appealing, but when you get inside, it's quite a cozy little restaurant. The restaurant had a very homely type of atmosphere and there are probably enough to fit 30-40 people in.
Aside from the atmosphere, Mama's Asian Noodle House has a bunch of Thai/Lao food which will make your mouth water. As a family of 6, we ordered about 3 orders of the pork belly, and to be quite honest, I think we should've ordered atleast 4! The pork belly was so tender, so crispy, and so delicious that it was almost addicting.
My dad ordered some type of pho and that too tasted marvelous. I don't know the exact name of the pho, but I am assuming most their phos will taste just as good. The rest of the family ordered the fried rice (beef & shrimp ($2.00+ extra)) and I think it's better to order the shrimp. Both tasted fantastic and can rival fried rice from other places. Last, my family ordered the papaya salad (watch out, it's spicy), and they said even though it was spicy, it was really good.
We rate the restaurant as 5/5, taking inputs from my family. This place is a great...
Read moreHow disappointing!!! The server clearly cannot work under pressure. Our foods didnt come out together. Other guests who sat after us got thier order first. We prdered chicken wings but she gave them to the guests who ordered after us.
I got a thai boat and never recieved any condiments or eating utensils for 5 minute! And when my husband went to ask for chopstick and she literally walked away and say she got it. Like really, my thai boat was sitting there for 5 minutes untouch. Then when i got the chopsticks the noodles was so overcooked it was choppy. I told the server but she say we cannot get a new one unless we order one more and get charged again. Lmao i asked to apeak with a manager and they said they will redo it. And guess what. They only added either water or pho broth to fix it. Like it didnt even taste like thaiboat. The red meat wasnt even cooked throughout the time because it was not hot. I just dont get how greedy people can be to not redo one thaiboat. Greedy restaurants dont deserve my money!!!!
