Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Fresno

GREAT TASTING PIZZA! I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was just our family at the restaurant. We had a great time. The only problem, which I'm sure was because it was slow, was that all the tables were dirty. We asked someone if we could clean off the tables and someone came right over to clean it off. They have 3 TV's all playing something different. Football, baseball and a movie. Old school Frogger, Pac Man, Donkey Kong & Galaga. Also Tekken 5, Extreme Hunting, California Speed & 2 Claw Machines. The service was good, but not great. We were the only ones here, but we had to find the staff to get service. The tables were dirty but the staff looked bored standing around. Unaware of what needs to be done. There carpets are very badly stained and could use a good shampooing. I checked the bathrooms & lights were not working, Toilet paper on the ground and could have used a good cleaning too. I will say that it was stocked with soap, toilet paper & paper towels. I didn't try the salad bar but it looked clean and good to eat. I wanted to give 5 stars but couldn't because of the carpet stains, dirty tables, & lack of customer service. My wife and I had lunch here today. It was the worst Mountain Mike’s we’ve ever ate at. If I could, I would give it zero stars. The staff was unpleasant, and pretty much nonexistent. I witnessed a few people going up and ringing the counter bell to get someone’s attention. The lettuce in the salad bar was turning brown and almost frozen. There were only 3 pizzas to choose from (at the buffet) when we got there. All the pizzas were more than half gone. I asked the lady up front if they were making more. She grudgingly said yes, and went to the back. After 10 minutes of waiting, she brought out one pepperoni pizza. That was the only fresh pizza that we saw. I’m not one who usually writes reviews, but this seemed like something that should be fixed. I should have asked for our money back as soon as we sat down. We definitely didn’t eat our moneys worth! Who could have?, it was all so disappointing! . . To add insult to injury, the bathrooms were gross. Neither had a trash can in them.

Upon leaving, there is a sign outside that says hiring. My advice, hire all new staff. Hire actual working individuals. The two ladies on duty were a joke. To say this was a disappointment would be a grave...

1 week ago on Apr 24th, I had a party of 30+ adults at the 1055 E Herndon Ave location in their side room following a funeral, and both the food and service was EXCELLENT! We ordered 4 Mountain pizzas, 2 Large pizzas, 15 ranches, plus about 15+ pitchers of beer and 30+ glasses (Ordered 3 Mountain pizzas ahead of time, and more pizzas upon arrival)... Manraj was the cashier and was able to hold it all down with only him and his counterpart in the back... seriously AMAZING and excellent demonstration of hard and efficient work under pressure!! Alone, those two prepared all of the pizzas very quickly, got pitcher after pitcher for the party group, and Manraj continually checked in at our tables to ensure we were okay and didn't need anything else. There were also several other customers in the store at the same time as my party group, and not one customer was missed or neglected. I am very impressed by their professionalism and rapid, quality service, plus great food! Bathrooms were clean, private, and well stocked also. I Would recommend to anyone to host a party here!
