I attempted to order online due to the "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY" as I have an immunocompromised and disabled child, and being a disabled parent who just really couldn't make it out to the bus in the heat today (for the third time), I thought "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY" sounded decent. This was the WHOLE REASON I was choosing Round Table despite having lost a lot of respect for the business, plus the downgrade in quality of their food, over the years (company-wide not specific location).
For some reason the site wouldn't take my child's disability Debit Card / Master Card. There's over $800 on it, so it is a little confusing, but oh well. Hasn't been the first time, had a similar issue two months ago at a Taco Bell (yet not at the Carl's Jr across the street from it), so I figure it's the system being problematic. So, I called the restaurant instead.
I placed the order just as I had attempted online, though the employee seemed very confused as to what a pizza is. Got through it all and, just like I had set up on the online order option, wanted to add a $4.00 tip and the "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY". I was refused "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY." I was told that I had to sign a receipt, despite the request. Decided it wasn't worth ordering if I would be risking my child catching Covid (yes, we are vaccinated, but again, immunocompromised).
I called back later to complain to the manager on duty and she literally said that they couldn't do it. That because I wanted to tip the driver (despite Round Table's website itself making that perfectly fine of an option), I would have to sign a receipt. I would have to EXPOSE MY CHILD TO COVID RISKS to treat a delivery driver fairly (as the United States allows restaurants to take advantage of drivers and waiters by not actually paying them fairly, even businesses who stay up-and-up with United States and California laws would be shut down in other countries). Despite the fact that this was NOT what I had been informed by the person who was taking my order originally.
So, I can tip the driver through the website, and my child still be safe, but I can't when ordering from the location directly? That's absurd! And of course the fact that I was first denied "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY"!?
This is yet another reinforcement of why I shouldn't order Round Table any more. There have been many reasons over the years, especially when they changed the sauce (they used to be my go to pizza place, when I could afford the higher price, before then).
And yes, this review has also been sent to the company via their website. UPDATE: Shows how little the responder cares about reviews, that they didn't read what I had written, or even skim it, considering on the last sentence I stated that I HAD in fact reported this issue with the company...
Read more9/2024: Wanted to celebrate our son getting potty trained, he said he wanted pizza and games. Trying to stay close to home we chose the Round Table around the corner. As soon as we walked in we were hit with a foul smell of a clogged toilet (poop). We where there to celebrate not having to change diapers and ended up feeling like we were in a diaper pale. We had to leave without eating. Not sure what it was but hope they get it fixed. I believe most of the stores income comes from delivery.
OLD REVIEW: This one star rating is really for all of round table, I'm just a little disappointed that all the lunch buffets are gone with every indication they have no intentions on bringing anything back. This local restaurant has been around for a long time and I hope it's doing okay but I am definitely going to miss the family Pizza nights and the lunch buffets. They need to remove it...

This is my first time visiting this Round Table. I can barely believe what a great experience i just had because any time I go somewhere new I'm usually disappointed.
Not this time. I called in my order for dine-in and the voice on the phone was very friendly. He took his time taking my order and didnt rush me. When i walked in i was very pleasantly surprised. Super clean! The place looks like it was remodeled.
The young lady who was cashiering was soo friendly. Salad bar clean and full. Then the pizzas came... sooo good. They looked like they came straight out of the conmercial and tasted delicious!
I can still barely believe it! I made sure to let the manager Nicole know how happy I was thinking she was the mastermind and what did she do? She turned around and congratulated the staff on a job well done.
