Sushi Monster — Restaurant in Fresno

Ok their back open kool beans everything taste great as usual, 👍🏽 and a few menu changes, 👍🏽& the prices went up bit💰but not that outrageous, which I can understand, and I believe the staff is a big part of any business, but the portions seems to have went down on my usual which is the hibachi meals, which the soup 🍲 and sald is to die for, but it was crowded with majority of call in orders, and the seating area was getting it's busy on as well, but I'll charge it off as a oversight this time 👀 and I was just getting ready to take pictures of a nice above average size order 😔 but maybe next time, but if they had to cut the portions down I'll probably just start ordering something else, because I did see the sushi rolls coming out looking very well at other tables and the staff was superb as usual and I still tipped well as they do deserve with the great service but I'll still lean on the 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and call it a oversight, but please let's go back to regular on the portions, the hibachi meals were great as is, and I encourage others to take pictures of your meals, it does help with business of all establishments, and sushi monster let's continue to make pictures...

Update: I've actually changed my review from four stars to five. I hadn't been there in over a month and ordered the usual Malibu and Friend roll. I noticed that the Malibu roll was not lacking on the salmon! It's so nice to be able to get amazing sushi that's close by.

Old review: I decided on ordering the Malibu, friend and firecracker roll from their 3 roll lunch special. My favorite out of the three was the friend roll. It definitely had a good amount of crab and spicy tuna. The Malibu roll was good but it really was lacking on the salmon. The firecracker roll was lacking on tuna but still delicious and super spicy because of the jalapenos. The lunch special also came with salad and miso soup. The salad was basic iceberg with dressing but the miso soup was the best I have ever had. It was super flavorful and wasn't salty. The egg rolls were very tasty too and would definitely order those again. Overall I like that they have a nice variety of rolls to choose from but I do wish they would add a touch more of seafood. I definitely plan on coming back...

I ordered here a lot and for a good majority of my orders it came out okay. I’ve never had eel with bones before and the places I’ve tried it from where on the west coast and when I lived in Japan. So, to me it was weird to see bones outside my rolls and it looked sloppy if that’s how they served it. It makes me wonder if they are clean?! The last two times I ordered here in less than three weeks my three year old has had food poisoning. I can confirm as he only vomited the food he ate here, which he has had before months ago with zero issues. Last night I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and once again my son has been throwing up all morning with loads of diarrhea. You shouldn’t see bones just on the outside of a roll. My son shouldn’t be sick from food he’s consuming here that is a major safety concern and they should be taking sanitation extremely serious. I’m currently debating on seeing if my son gets worse to take...
