This was the second time I have visited a Five Guys. First time was 8-9 years ago at the north Plano location on Preston south of Stonebriar Mall, so it's been that long. It was about 7:20pm and the place was less than half full. I ordered a cheeseburger and my daughter ordered a bacon burger. No fries or drinks. That took 20 minutes. I know they cook to order but with 8 cooks that was way to long. Poor guy who ordered before us on the app waited longer than we did. They have seats outside which is nice.(Until the Texas summer hits) This was my daughters first time so I asked her how she liked it. She said she hadn't got to the meat yet. I asked her a few bites later and I got the same answer from her. Wondering how that could be I discovered there was no meat or bacon just buns, lettuce, pickles etc! How can you forget to put meat on a burger? After waiting so long I was a bit miffed. The crew was nice and started to make a new burger. Poor guy that I mentioned earlier was still waiting for his food. They re-made the burger and threw in another burger for my trouble. I know they've only been open for a week or so but there needs to be a clear leader running things and I didn't see that. Burger was tasty and fresh. I could gripe about $25 for two hamburgers but I won't. Hopefully things...
Read moreI do not write reviews at all. This would be my first ever and I am not a Karen lol
I visited the Five Guys location near me just after closing time, hoping to grab a bite to eat. Initially, the associates were polite but informed me they were closed. However, when I politely asked to use the restroom, one associate gave me the go-ahead with a thumbs up. Yet, another staff member contradicted this and adamantly refused me access. Despite explaining my urgent need and disclosing my medical condition that requires frequent restroom visits, I was denied. Eventually, I made my way to the restroom, only to be interrupted by the manager, a white lady with glasses, who forcibly escorted me out. Instead of showing empathy, she callously told me to go elsewhere, like a gas station, even as I explained I had no time. Sadly, as I rushed back to my car, I found myself in an embarrassing situation as I had soiled myself due to the staff's lack of understanding and empathy. It's disheartening when customer service falls short of basic human decency
And I am very thankful for the gas station next-door because I at least got to clean myself up over there and lucky for me. There was nobody there
am I opinion their food is great just to let everybody know, but I would pass this one and go to any...
Read moreI ordered five items. The receipt on the bag reflected the five items I ordered, one large fry and four sandwiches, with the sandwiches numbered 1 through 4.
But when I got home my items themselves were numbered not 1-2-3-4, but 1-1-3-4. So I got someone's mushroom and grilled onion little cheeseburger and they got my all the way little cheeseburger. With my condiments at home I could fill in most of the items, but not the sliced tomato. Also, I needed to correct the person placing the order twice on one of the other items. But that sandwich came out correctly.
Like most Five Guys, the place is loud with all the tiles on the wall reflecting the sound. The person calling out orders ready for pickup was very difficult to hear. Which meant calling some numbers many times before that customer came forward.
I'll wait a month and see if they smooth these rough edges. This location is a lot more convenient than the previous Five...
