We have been loyal customers for several years. Only 1 time have we gotten anything (brisket) that wasn't very good, though, the last few times the the amount of grease in the container was more than significant (roughly ½-⅔ cup), which is gross & terribly unhealthy. Today, we stopped in and ordered the family meal for 6-8 people, with 3lb of brisket. and a ½ rack of baby back ribs. This is the first time we've been able to swing the nearly $70 in quite sometime. When the very nice boy that took our order, rang it in, and quoted the total of $89, I said, "that's not right". I looked at the menu and confirmed the $55 for that particular meal and the ½ rack is $11.99. We were confused by the amount being almost $20 MORE! He then pointed out the ADDITIONAL charge of $7.99 for EACH ½lb of brisket & tri tip!! The poor fella caught an earful from us. THAT IS A BAIT AND SWITCH PLAIN AS DAY! PRINTED ON THE MENU!! I'm a business owner AND have owned/operated a restaurant. I know how cost can affect prices. BUT THAT IS RIDICULOUS! And severely out of line to CHARGE $8 per HALF lb just because it's a more popular cut. Sad, but ya'll have lost this family.. and we're sure to tell EVERY PERSON WHO WE KNOW about this terrible fleecing. I know I had the option to cancel the order, but I had already told my elderly mother what we were getting her for dinner. Bad business.....
Read moreOct, 2018: Tastes like disappointment and broken promises 😢. You know when something is absolutely perfect, and someone decides to "improve" it, and ruins everything? That seems to be what happened to their ribs. Instead of their earlier recipe of just smoking them into delectable little racks of meaty goodness, that you could then complement with one of their delicious sauces, they now slather the ribs in sticky sweet goo both before and after cooking. So they lost all the meat taste, and are already so sticky you don't even want to add one of the other sauces and make it worse. My husband doesn't like to add bbq sauce at all, so it pretty much ruined them for him too. The service is still friendly, and the mac & cheese and coleslaw are yummy, but I have been craving the original ribs for a couple months now, which sadly don't seem to exist anymore.
** May, 2018 Those were quite possibly the best ribs I've ever eaten. They had just come out of the smoker, and they just fell off the bone. I used just the little plastic knife, and the ribs fell apart into little perfect bites. And the sauces were a little different but all good, and that vinegar sauce...
Read moreThere should be a basic requirement when you say bbq in your business name. I'm actually in disbelief the lack of quality around the usa when it comes to bbq. To most people and business I honestly think they just like to have a name such as bbq. But there is no substance what so ever in quality. It's like there is some unspoken rule with business that have no clue what it actually means. Let me start with saying it's simply not American to boil meat and offer bbq and think that you have bbq. America bbq is when you put meat on a grill/smoker and slow cook until the flavor from the wood penetrates and obsorbs into the meat.i took my time to explain so that hopefully the next traveler or person actually wanting bbq. Does not spend money on food that has the Quality of someone boiling meat adding bbq sauce on the side and thinking they actually have a bbq business. And for the customers giving g good reviews for bbq. ( REALLY? ). I wish I could give score of 25% of 1 star. And that's being generous. I feel like America needs to fly the flag and...
