J & S New York Pizza — Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina

It is a shame to have to write this review, but good food does not justify poor service. After a few incidents of incorrect Stromboli orders, it was explained to us the difference of "no peppers" vs "no green peppers". It prints different on the kitchen ticket - staff thought it meant no pepperoni.

Things went well with orders for a while until we ran into an issue with deliveries. The first time, only half of the order was delivered in the time quoted, but the main meal was left at the restaurant. It's the first time this has happened, so you have to understand these things do occur. However, one week later, exact same issue happened even after we reminded them of previous incident.

When the driver returned, we were told the next order would be complimentary. After calling and speaking to the MOD (filling in as a friend), he quoted only part of the meal would be complimentary. They would still have to charge for the small salad.

Based on the experiences with the restaurant, I believe Maya Angelou said it best - "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Today was the first time I have ever had a negative experience here. When I got in I saw the server/waiter at the register on the side. There was no one ahead of me needing service but she didn’t acknowledge me. She glanced but said nothing. I moved over a little and still nothing. Then a moment later she asked me what I wanted, take out or dine in? Not pleasant. No hello no smile. Just nothing. She took the order and I paid and she automatically balled up my receipt before asking if I wanted. A couple came in and she straight away greeted them and took their order with a smile. The same patron went to sit down and we spoke to one another and then chatted. She came to him and literally stood between us and started asking him for his order again. No excuse me or again acknowledging that I was present. She was rude. Once my order was ready the cook handed it to me but this woman didn’t even turn to say anything. The patrons did. I ordered an xl pepperoni for delivery, I specifically asked for it well done. After waiting an hour and a half, we got the pizza. It was barely warm and almost completely raw. I called the store I ordered it from and some girl answered. I explained what happened and she told me what do you want me to do about it. I advised her that I wanted a pizza that was cooked properly. She then told me to put it in a toaster oven to crisp it up. I told her that I shouldn't have to cook my own pizza and that they needed to either bring me a correct pizza or refund my money. She started arguing with me, I asked for the manager, she stated that she was the manager. I asked for the owner's information, she stated that she is the owner. And to top it off, my husband just took a bite and pulled a hair out. I called back to the store and the same girl told me she would refund my money, bu then told me not to never call the store again. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from there again, and I hope any of you that see this will do the same. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER...
