The park has recently been renovated with two play areas and a swing area. Not as large as some of the Cary parks, but it is usually not crowded. There is a covered picnic area to get out of the sun on warmer days which helps to offset moving the play structures out of the shade and into the sun. A small t- ball field is part of the complex also for getting a few swings in or just running wild. Park also includes nice restrooms with water fountains. Unfortunately the new restrooms are situated with the front facing the ballfield so the entrance can't be viewed from the play area ( it also has the picnic shelter between the play area and bathroom). Read moreThe park has been renovated over the last several years. The town built a really nice playground area adjacent to the covered picnic shelter on the north side of the park. The playground has 4 distinct areas. A large sandbox with two mechanical scoops and plenty of room for digging and sand castle making. A swingset with 4 swings, 2 for toddlers and 2 for older kids. Read moreGrew up playing pee wee baseball here for Stephens Ace Hardware (before they closed down). Went to school across the street at fuquay middle. They have definitely done a great job revamping it over the years.
Glad they got rid of the pool that used to be there. I remember as kids me and my friends, trying to look through the fence and see the people laughing and playing beach music on the otherside where only "members" got in.
