Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in a small strip plaza fool you. The first thing I ever notice is how clean it is when we enter the establishment. Service is always friendly and fairly fast. The food is so rich in flavor that we have a hard time deciding each visit. I will post pics of previous visits once I find them. Tonight, we ordered the grilled prime sirloin marinated in curry and cream of coconut on bamboo stick, served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad! Beautiful Thai flavors. Especially enjoyed the cucumber salad. We also started with the Chicken and coconut soup flavored with chili paste, mushrooms, galanga, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves, scallion and cilantro. This is by far our favorite soup! Perfect balance of flavor with plenty of fish sauce tones. Our mains were Panang Curry with curry paste in coconut milk with Tofu, zucchini, bell peppers, and ground peanuts. It's a beautiful mix of red curry with the Amazing Sauce peanut element added for another level of flavor. He had the Green Curry with chicken, which incorporates green curry paste in coconut milk, bell peppers, green bean, peas, carrots, and basil leaves. WOW! Beautiful punch of Thai Basil! It's just delicious and creamy! Stop by. They are closed Mondays, but worth the trip any other day of the week.

If you're looking for a delicious and affordable lunch option in Gainesville, look no further than Bangkok Square Restaurant. My frequent visits here are always a delightful experience, thanks to the exceptional value for money and consistently tasty dishes. For just $8, you can enjoy a generous serving of fried rice or noodles, along with a flavorful soup, crispy egg rolls, and a refreshing scoop of coconut ice cream. This deal is truly unbeatable, and I'm always impressed by the quality of the food despite the low price. What sets Bangkok Square apart from other restaurants, though, is their fantastic service. Even on the busiest of days, the employees are friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their warm and welcoming demeanor only adds to the already enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, I can't recommend Bangkok Square enough. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're sure to be impressed by the delicious food, great value, and exceptional service.

Came here after a long day of moving boxes moving into UF. We did end up coming a little late and were rushed to order very quickly and that was our fault, totally not the restaurant's. We got pad see ew, pad kee mao, and pad thai, and let me tell you, it was stupendous. Exactly what you look for in Thai food, perfectly cooked noodles, veggies, and full of flavor! I absolutely loved all three of them, although pad Thai holds a special place in my heart and won. I loved the little carrot flower, a nice touch that made the dish just that much more thoughtful and handcrafted. Delicious as well. Not pictured but we also got a Thai tea, which was one of the better ones i've had in most places, especially around the Gainesville area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Thai food in the area, and it's worth the short drive or bus ride getting here. An entree will run you $12-15 though, so be prepared to spend a little extra for a lot more flavor and authenticity.

My friend and I were both pleasantly surprised by this place. I was craving Thai so we checked out this place. Seriously the best Asian food I have had in Gainesville so far with amazing service. The decor was beautiful and very serene. We joked that we could fall asleep. They gave us a nice booth in the corner, which was exactly what we wanted.

We opened the menu and were very pleased with the prices. Only $8 to $10 for lunch! We thought were just going to get the lunch entree but it came with this delicious house soup (thought it was miso soup at first but it isn't), a crispy spring roll with dipping sauce and house-made coconut ice cream for dessert! They gave us a ton of food and let me tell you: this place was faster than fast food! The appetizers came out immediately after ordering and they were very hot as if just cooked. Then the main dishes came out so fast we had barely gone through the appetizers. The presentation was lovely and the sauces were all cooked to the perfect level of thickness. The dishes were extremely flavorful and they gave lots of protein. They also gave little carrot flowers. The one thing we both noticed though, were how well the vegetables were cooked. Not overcooked to undercooked and perfectly salted. Praises to the chef.

The most impressive thing for us was the service. These waitresses would have taken the shirts off their backs for you. My waitress even went as far as tying up my to go bag in a cute way for me even though I was going to just take it. She insisted. Another waitress I observed was serving an elderly couple and she was incredibly patient with them and spent a lot of time explaining the dishes and answering the questions.

Needless to say, I will...

I was recommended to this Thai restaurant by a local so I was a bit let down after my dinner this past weekend. I called in to make a reservation to secure my table since it's a small place so I knew they could be busy. It's located not too far from UF so this place is pretty popular amongst the staff and students from the university, therefore it's always best to make a reservation here.

The decor inside is nice and cozy, the seatings are a bit tight, especially if you have a big party. I ordered the pad thai with half chicken and half veggies (my usual meal at every new thai restaurant) with extra sauce. The service was fast and they were attentive on refilling our water.

The Pad thai however was not what I expected. They used the thin pho noodles and I've never had this kind of noodle for this specific dish before, so I was utterly shocked. The sauce was good but a bit too sweet for my liking. The spice was on point since I got Thai hot. They also brought out the additional spices for me to add since I asked for it, the fresh chillies were pretty delicious.

When I got the check, I noticed that they charged me an additional $2 for my chicken but the waitress did not mention it to me in the beginning. So I felt a little disappointed, in which I'm perfectly fine with paying the extra money for my chicken. I just wish they had notified me before charging anything additional. Also, they don't give coconut ice cream samples for dinner and I didn't want to try that but that's given during lunch...
