El Sombrero — Restaurant in Gainesville

Do not spend your money here using online orders with this establishment or Flowery branch. Apparently this restaurant has many El sombrero locations. I called this establishment earlier to let them know that I ordered online for the Flowery Branch location. However I found out that the flowery Branch location does not have an option to order online. Apparently, they knew about this ongoing issue. When I ordered online for the flowery Branch location the website kicked back and said error on my end. I assumed it didn't charge.I was wrong. I called The Establishment and let them know what happened. Originally I was going to go and pick up the order but found out the establishment was 20 minutes away from me. Too far! They told me to call and dispute the order with the third party company they have their online orders through. I did that, later I found out that this establishment is keeping my money because they prepared the food. That I didn't pick up because of the glitch they knew about. Flowery Branch told me that this has been a reoccurring issue. My order was only $9 and something. Thank goodness it wasn't more. But at the end of the day sounds like they care more about themselves then making this right. I Will make sure not to give this establishment my business...

My favorite Mexican restaurant food good, service good. However my experience today has left me wondering about their honesty. I left my phone at the booth and left. It may of been 15 minutes when I discovered I had left my phone there. I called them to ask if they had found my phone. Theboy there said let me get the manager. He came on the line and I explain everything to him. He told me no they didn't find my phone, I told him I would come by. I didn't even have too get out of the van He came out and handed me my phone. I was so grateful and left. However when I got home my friend called and asked me it I got my 2 calls from her. I said I didn't know you called me. She said yes. I looked at the time she called and it was when it was at the restaurant. Some female answered my phone both times. My friend couldn't understand what they were saying and she hung up. I don't know who answered my phone but I am suspicious of that place now since they told my no and someone was talking on it when I called or close...

My mother and I went to eat here on 10/16/2023… worst mistake ever the food was old and cold when talking to the manager he agreed to make a fresh plate. He then went and sat the plate on the counter in the kitchen dumped more food on top (it was nachos) and placed it in the microwave, we said to not bring microwaved food to our table in which we were told that’s how they do it to make sure it’s hot (fresh food off a grill should already be hot). They admit to microwaving food and are completely rude to their customers. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here. Also on top of it my mother had to pay for her food (they did not make me) and tried to overcharge her, everything she ordered on total would have came up to $12.85 and they tried to charge her almost $18. Since we complained and called them out on using old food and microwaving it we were told to never come back, not that we would, but this place should be shut down like it was before but...
