What I loved: They start you off with a free tostada de ceviche de Marlin. It’s quite good and almost makes you want to order some along with your order but depending on your dish, you may not get the chance to enjoy due to the portions. The service was amazing and our server was very attentive with us! The seafood soup was alright. The bread that comes along with it is buttered and toasted. I would get the soup again just for that side of bread. The kid shrimp quesadilla is to die for. Simply delicious. I ordered a ceviche peruano and I was not disappointed! I always get it to go and was saddened to see the portion go down significantly. Or maybe it’s because of the dish they brought it out in.
The not so good: Getting out of the parking lot is a hassle because Atlanta Hwy is always busy. The parking lot in general is hard to park in because everyone is tightly packed. Our food took about 40 minutes to come out. I’m not sure what was going on but other reviews seem to say the same thing about the long wait time. Be prepared to wait. The music is also very loud and we were seated a little further away from the noise which was greatly appreciated.
The customer service made the long wait time worth it. There are definitely other dishes that we would...
Read moreService was slow and I don't know if our waitress was new or just not a very good one because she wasn't very good at it. The fries are usually the best thing here but they were very soggy this time. My buddy and i got the same plate and some of the things were missing from his. Food got to us maybe 45 minutes after we ordered and the place wasn't even packed. There was a table near us that just got up and left because they weren't being listened toowhich i could understand because i ordered a diet pepsi and got a regular I left it on the side of the table so the waitress could pick it up which she never did. After 15 minutes i got her attention which she brought me the right one which i finished very quickly so i left it again on the side of the table so i could get my refill which she just took the drink and never came back with a refill. I usually never come here because i usually order only fajitas which there are way way better options around town than here but most people come here for the seafood which Gainesville is lacking but hopefully that new one where the Denny's used to be can steal business from this place so they can get their stuff together and provide better...
Read moreThis might be the worst restaurant I have ever been too. When I noticed no one else in the restaurant, that should have been my first sign.
My fiancé and I both ordered Peruvian ceviche that was listed on the menu. Peruvian ceviche is made with a tiger milk, this ceviche was made with just lime. When this was brought to our waitresses attention…She said “but this is a Mexican restaurant”. This is false advertisement. We would not have ordered if we knew.
Regardless, the flavor was awful. The shrimp and fish were very uncooked. The octopus (that wasn’t even listed on the menu) tasted 2 days old. The waiter was very nice, but so incredibly disappointing that we had to pay close to $50 for a meal that was not appealing or cooked. Would...
