Volcanic Sushi + Sake Hunter's Crossing — Restaurant in Gainesville

Terrible experience... As a server in so disappointed of out waitress (red hair) yes, I say it with all my energy. We were a party but she know nothing about serving, first she messed up the order and then I never got my order 90 minutes after ordering everybody ate but me and she came with the tablet to organize the checks! Whaaaaaat how is she going to charge me if I haven't get my sushi yet. I said "if its not ready I dont want it" so she toke it out of my bill, of cuorse I wont wait another hour so they can make my sushi... Plus her attitude wasnt the best one and when the other were asking about what happened she just said that i cancel the order... I hope I dont have that experience never again... 😡 I was craving good sushi... But sadly I didint got the chance tonight... And the server there change or learn how to be a good Server... The food was okay. Not bad, but I have had better. Service was okay. Atmosphere was okay until they started playing dance music. I ordered a lunch special and requested fried rice, the server stated there was an up charge (I expected that) what she didn’t mention is that it was a $10.00 up charge! I was mortified when I saw that. I expected a $2-3 up charge, but definitely not $10. Staff should really be more specific when they state there is an up charge or for any detail that it going to make such a significant difference in price, for me, I barely eat the rice, so I would have opted out, but thinking there was only a small up-charge like every other place I have gone too, I went for it. Just ask specific questions here. They are not going to volunteer the information. The rice was definitely not worth $10. I took two bites and was disappointed before...

Disappointing decline in service. Just spent about $100 at this restaurant and was told 25-30 minutes before my order would be ready for pick up. I knew it was a large order so I waited 40 to give them extra time to make the sushi. Once at the restaurant had to wait an additional 15 minutes. No big deal. Unfortunately part of my order was missing so I had to drive back to the restaurant. I expressed my discontent and the staff was ridiculously rude and accused me of not tipping. I had left a large tip in the sushi chef tip jar when I had come to pick up my order the first time, as the sushi chefs were the only people working, the waitstaff were just standing around as the number of people waiting for their orders grew.
