Adobos Mexican Grill - Galena — Restaurant in Galena

We stopped into this spot as it was close to our hotel in Galena. It's a lot like a Chipotle, but with a ton more options. We were meeting family, so we got our meals to go.

I had the carnitas bowl and hubs had the chicken. Both were tasty and they also give you a small bag of chips and salsa with your order.

We paid for a drink as well but when we went to get Unsweet tea, they don't offer it. They have three different kinds of tea (all flavored; all sweet) and yes I asked and was told no Unsweet. Super disappointed in that, so we wasted a couple dollars there. I can't have the sugar.

The burritos were huge!!!!! Made to order & fresh. Lots of places are closed in historic downtown on Wednesdays & we didn't want the hassle of formal dining & crowds after a day of hiking. Picture a Subway, but BURRITOS. You shuffle pass the display window & point to all the stuffings. You don't even need to speak English. There's a great selection of fillings, all with the total price of just $7.99. We both had the steak. I added, spanish rice, salsa, queso, sour cream, beans, tomatoes, lettuce ..... Easily the best option for a delicious and relatively inexpensive meal. The burrito bowl is served generously with a LOT of really good options. Highly recommend the Barbacoa if you enjoy extra seasoning, and if you enjoy a good kick of spice go for the Diablo Sauce. Great guacamole, Great music, and a great selection of in bottle Jarritos.
