We live in Galena, the last time we ate it at this Sonic was two years ago. We decided to give it a try tonight to see if anything has changed in their service and quality of food. We ordered 1 burger, 1 tenderloin sandwich & 1 extra long chili cheese coney and 2 tater tots & 1 onion rings. When they brought the food it was cold and there was only 1 tot & 1 onion ring in the bag. They left off 1 tot. My sister -in-law had to get out of the truck and go in there and tell them that they got the order wrong because nobody would talk to us when we pushed the button on the speaker. They gave her a small bag with cold tots in it.The girl working there said that she could only give her a coupon for free fries that she couldn’t replace all of the cold food. It’s pretty sad that this Sonic is on route 66 it gives Galena a bad name. They just need to shut it down and build something else there because it hasn’t gotten any better, it has gotten worse. From now on we will drive to Joplin on Maiden Lane to go to Sonic again. Galena’s Sonic is just not worth it. The food was terrible, everything was cold the bun on the extra long coney was wet on the bottom and the hotdog looked cooked on the outside but when you bit into it, it was ice cold like it wasn’t even heated all the way through, but like I said we won’t eat it this sonic ever again. Read moreI placed an order on the app at 11:49 for two drinks and it said order would be ready at 11:55. We pulled in at 11:53 and I called in to let them know we were there a few minutes early to pick up the order. There was only one car hop working and five other cars in the stalls…so at 12:05 our order was still not out so I called in again and was told that there had been several orders come in at the same time as mine and they would have it out soon. So at 12:15 it still wasn’t out so I went inside to ask for my order and the “Manger” said that he had to verify my order and when I told him I had waited over 20 minutes so far for two drinks he said if I was going to be hateful about it I didn’t need to come back….I again told him I just wanted my drinks and I would leave and not come back…the female carhop handed me my drinks and I told the “Manager” I would be making a call to the corporate office and I walked out. I got in my car and was getting ready to leave when the “Manager” came out mouthing something, so I rolled down my window and he said “if you have something to say then say it to me” and I said again I shouldn’t have had to wait over 20 minutes for two drinks and I rolled my window up and left. Read moreI have a pork allergy, I’ve avoided pork for 5 years because of it. Until last night when this Sonic substituted the advertised all beef hot dog for 1/2 a foot long that has pork without asking or informing me. I was only notified of the pork hot dog because a friend, who has worked at Sonic for 10+ years, noticed what it was through a picture I sent her.
I called in and spoke to a “manager” who laughed at me said there was nothing they could do and referred me to the general manager the next day. When I called the GM today she all but called me a liar because apparently when I asked for a manager last night she was there but her other “manager” did not give her the phone, and she didn’t inform her I had even called. I also received two different stories from them as to why my hot dog was substituted.
I am thankful my reaction was not as bad as it could be and I did not end up in the hospital or worse. I am also thankful that I do not have diet restrictions because of my religious beliefs...
