I am baffled by the good reviews of this place. The prices are exorbitant for what you get. We asked about the lunch special. The guy told us you could get a personal pizza and a salad for $10. So, we ordered a CCR personal pizza (not realizing that the special only included cheese or pepperoni), a salad, and a drink. The total was over $17. The pizza came out and it's about 9 inches. No salad. Because the guy didn't tell us the CCR wasn't included in the special so he just rang up the pizza, even though we verbally ordered a salad as well and he knew we were ordering the lunch special (we had asked several questions about it). I had told him this was our first time here so he KNEW we didn't understand the menu (meaning that the special only included certain items) and he didn't correct us when he knew we incorrectly ordered the special. So, this tiny pizza was $13. The drink was $3. Plus tax. $17+ for a $3 personal pizza and a diet Dr. Pepper. The pizza was decent (which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1) but NO WHERE NEAR worth $13. We got a full meal with sides at Edleys for that price. We asked where the salad was after the pizza arrived as we still thought we had ordered the lunch special at that point. They brought the receipt over and showed us we never got charged for the salad. Right. But we ordered one. So where was it? Anyway, they didn't try to make it right in any way. For starters the staff is top, very kind friendly and helpful. Easy to see they are happy to be working and want you to have a great experience. Not forced friendly but actually friendly. I got the cream of crawfish to try and it's been a long time since I had crawfish. I miss it so and now I have a place to get my fix. Will be going for lunch just for that. Also got an app of crawfish bread. Yes I am a fan of crawfish as you can tell. It was light airy and soft. Topped with cheese and crawfish. Very good and dipped in the cream of crawfish you get twice the craw and four times the good. Final part of the food order was the large carnivore pizza. This crispy very good crust with a generous portion of toppings and cheese. No flop but not over cooked. Top two pizzas in the area. I can't decide if it's number one or two. I'll have to try it again and get a second opinion from myself. Had tea to drink. Fresh brewed and delightful. I don't drink much other than water and this was a great departure from my norm. I was making conversation that I like to try new places and o had not been here before. That it was a birthday gift to myself to try it. Multiple employees told me happy birthday. Then a plate with a rich warm brownie vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle speared in front of me. So rich and such a violation to my already violated diet. I shared it all with my wife and son. Took my toddler daughter to her dentist appointment next door to soulshine for a routine check-up and told my wife, Let's check out soulshine pizza next door once the dentist is finished and oh my goodness absolutely Five stars for Soulshine Pizza in Gallatin, TN! This place is an absolute gem. The pizza is outstanding – perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and incredible flavor combinations. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was amazing and inviting, and the service was absolutely top-notch.
