Tom Yum Restaurant — Restaurant in Garapan

Ordered Khao pad kra pao for take-out. Took too long. They said 30 mins and they'll call when the food is ready but when they didn't after 53 mins. I called back. They say it just came out. Went to pick up. The restaurant was packed full (event going on). If they had told me on the phone I would have ordered somewhere else where I could get my food faster. The food looks different from the menu and what I'm used to (the meat are usually diced). Asked them if this is what I ordered. Told them the meat is not diced and it looks different from the picture in the menu. They said sorry that I was not pleased but did not do anything about it. Food was $13.50. This place had good reviews so I'm even more disappointed with my experience.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Saipan. Apparently new ownership now? Woman at the front acted all annoyed that we were showing up in the late afternoon between lunch and dinner. Tom Yum Restaurant is located in Garapan just across Middle Road in front of the hospital. It's convenient location makes it a popular lunch spot for locals. They offer a daily lunch buffet. Tom Yum has my absolute favorite soup of all time. I love the creamy Tom Yum made with shrimp.
