Buena suerte 👍
I dined in at this restaurant a total of 3 times, and to begin, i will express my opinion about the first two times. In general, they were not too bad, but i do recall ordering the plaintains with ground beef and being displeased once the dish was brought out to the table and set in front of me. why? The reason is because i have ordered the same dish from countless other restaurants but it was only this one that the juices from the meat completely cover most of the bananas, resulting in wet and soggy fried bananas. I will note, however, that the sauce used on top was pretty authentic 👌. Also, another issue that i have which applies to all 3 timee ive eaten at this restaurant is that when requesting a dish, i was told that they did not have anymore, which to me does not seem normal for a legitimate business, and it was a let down. service was good and also the atmosphere.
The 3rd time dining at this restaurant, there were a plethora of issues and was enough to completely write off this restaurant for me. First, the same problem, i ordered the tacos katrachos and was told they did not have any more. I ordered the Molcajete, and it was almost room temperature, but the biggest issue was that EVERY strip of steak that was in there had a huge vein, which was very disappointing. the sauce itself and other ingredients were fine, however. I also ordered the tajadas con carne molida, and it came exactly the same with too much liquid soaking up the bananas, creating a soggy mashed banana dish. I ordered a quesadilla with only cheese, and again, another disappointment, because the cheese inside had not melted at all, and was slightly cool. The service was sub-par this time with a lack of adequate attention by our waitress. The atmosphere was good. and that is consistent. Thankfully, there is something to express in the positive sense. If you decide to dine here, be aware of their many imperfections, and perhaps a beer, chips, and salsa are the way to go....
Read moreTheir food isn’t bad ,it’s pretty good. But when it came to trying to make a to go order over the phone .When I tried to order food ,she spoke a little and then put me on hold before I could give her my to go order.I waited on the phone hearing the sounds of the restaurant and people talking.I waited for about 20-25 minutes to end up being hung up on out of no where .I’m craving their food because I know it’s good ,I’ve went there off and on with my mother.I call back with a different lady and the same thing happens where I’m trying to order and instead of asking to wait and to be put on hold, she just remains quiet for a good amount of minutes and hangs up again. It might of been a communication barrier but, come on man,it’s rude, just say something. When I call multiple times after no one picks up.It’s a little messed up,that experience really ruined the way...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem in a strip mall in Savannah GA. The food was delicious and tasty, a mix of Honduran and Mexican food. Their menu features all of the traditional dishes. When going through the restaurant you notice many people are ordering the same cultural favorites. The fried chicken, the shrimp soup and the molcajete. The waitresses was friendly, and polite. This was my first time here, and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered Molcajete de Mariscos and my friend ordered Molcajete Cielo and they were both bursting with flavor, adding the chopped onions, cilantro and lime juice made it even more flavorful. Highly recommend this place and i will definitely...
