Terrible experience. First off I order nachos (to go) receipt says 9.12 waited over a half hour finnally for the nachos which were super soggy with gross nacho cheese on them (not usually how they come with the weekday cook think is name was nick? Awesome cook!) the other guy was completely lazy and just threw the nachos togather. I take them out to my car open them up and their disgusting completely soggy with gross NACHO CHEESE for 11 bucks? Why all other times I order they come with REAL MELTED CHEESE, which they should for a premium of $11.
I take them back in to get my money back the bartender argues with me that they are fine and that's how they make them and that the other new cook (nick?) isn't doing his job right. Well he makes them RIGHT MAKES THEM GOOD! I wouldn't have taken them back in if they were made with real cheese which for 11 bucks they should. Want put nacho cheese on you're nachos than charge $5.
The waitress according to my receipt her name was zabrielle? Couldn't figure out how to void my order and refund me ended up having 2 other employees come over trying to figure it out. This was may 13th, I STILL haven't seen the $10.55 put back on my card.
whats even worse is that my "voided" receipt showed 9.48 over 30 minutes for some nachos to go when it wasn't even busy. And I still haven't gotten the money back.
I WILL never go to this bar ever again and will steer all my friends and family from coming here as well until I hear from management or the owners and make this right or comp me for something. Ridiculous STAY AWAY FROM SAMS PLACE
EDIT: boy do I wish I took a picture of the nachos I was served! Would love for the management/owner see what their...
Read moreStopped in for the first time. Note: this is a bar that serves smoked foods, it is not family friendly. Now with the disclaimer out of the way lets get to it. I was greeted with a "Hello" when I walked in, "ONE STAR". Sat down at the bar and asked for a menu. The server recommended the hamburger? As a smoke house why not recommend the BBQ. I went with the pulled pork sandwich with beer battered onion rings in it. When it arrived I was glad to see that there was no way I could pick it up and eat it, "SECOND STAR", so resorted to a fork. The smoked pork was wonderful but it was the hand make onion rings that was the true star in this sandwich. The cook mixed the batter with beer from the tap right in front of me "THIRD STAR". When you took a bite of this sandwich you crunched thru those onion rings and the mixing of flavors, smoked pork and rings was fantastic! At the end of my meal the cook came over and asked me how my meal was, "FORTH STAR". I would recommend Sam's to anyone that likes smoke, beer and good service. I will be returning to graze my way thru the menu...
Read moreWell this place was a surprise to go check out my hunt for the best chili cheese hamburger. You walk in and it’s definitely a bar set up. But I have been in these kinds of bars and they surprise you with better food the nice restaurants. After reading about them it’s let’s go find out for myself. The chili cheese burger is the best one I have found so farts in the treasure valley. The Thai chili sauce ( which is made in house) was the finishing touch to the burger. The chili was excellent and is a keeper. The onion rings were the kind that when you bite into them the remaining onions don’t try to come out. Talked with Sam ( the owner ) about them and he said they went through different providers before picking these out and they were excellent. Cory the cook was very conversational and I like him a lot. PS it’s rare that I give anyplace a five...
