If you’re anywhere near Garden City and haven’t eaten at Shree’s Crab Bucket, you’re sleeping on one of the best-kept secrets in coastal Georgia. I stopped in after hearing a few folks rave about it, and man… they weren’t kidding. This place doesn’t just serve seafood ~ they season it with soul.

The Vibe

You’ll find Shree’s tucked away off Highway 80, but don’t let the low-key exterior fool you. Inside that kitchen, they’re throwing down. The menu is packed with all the Southern favorites… fried okra, wings, oxtail phillys, fish plates, and the kind of seafood boils that make you want to roll your sleeves up and forget about your diet for a day.

The Crab Bucket Experience

I went straight for the Bucket Sampler, and when I tell you it was loaded, I mean it. Half a pound of shrimp, corn on the cob, sausage, potatoes, and a snow crab cluster all drenched in buttery garlic seasoning that hits every note from spicy to savory. It comes out piping hot, sprinkled with herbs, and smelling like heaven’s kitchen. Every bite was juicy, buttery, and seasoned just right—nothing bland about it.

The Sides & Extras

Don’t sleep on the extras. That cup of seafood gumbo? It’s pure comfort—rich, smoky, and packed with flavor in every spoonful.

And the wings—Skylar (aka the Wing Whisperer) wasn’t playing around. I got the Hot Lemon Pepper flavor, and it was that perfect combo of crispy, saucy, and tangy. The kind of wings you think about two days later.

The People

Mrs. Shree herself runs the place with heart, and it shows. She’s warm, friendly, and you can tell she takes pride in every plate that leaves her kitchen. Her son Skylar is the one behind those awesome wings, and honestly, they put a lot of other people’s wings to shame.

It’s rare to find a spot that nails seafood and wings with equal skill, but Shree’s Crab Bucket pulls it off. Whether you’re craving a full seafood feast or just some wings that’ll ruin all other wings for you, this is the place. Bring your appetite, some extra napkins, and a friend to share it with.

I want to start by acknowledging that the service and staff were outstanding; Shree and her family were very welcoming and attentive throughout my visit.

I ordered the pork souse, seafood salad, shrimp and grits, and seafood gumbo. While I appreciated the effort, there were a few areas where the dishes could be improved.

The pork souse had a lot of broth and not enough of everything else. It could benefit from more seasoning and meat and vegetables. Given the price and portion, a more balanced mix of ingredients would've made the souse better. I had to fish out pieces of meat because there really wasn't much.

The seafood salad had potential but was salty, which overshadowed the other flavors. Reducing the salt content could really bring out the freshness of the seafood.

I enjoyed the shrimp in the shrimp and grits; they were well-seasoned and tasty. However, the grits were a little too runny and could use more seasoning to provide a better flavor balance.

If you're anywhere near Savannah and craving incredibly fresh, flavorful seafood, run don’t walk to Shree’s Crab Bucket! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel right at home.

Now let’s talk about the food… WOW! The crabs were steamed to perfection seasoned just right, meaty, and so delicious that I still can’t stop talking about them. Seriously, the BEST crabs I ever had!

But that’s not all. I also tried the fried catfish and spaghetti, and it was an absolute 10/10. The catfish was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. The spaghetti was a surprising and delicious complement well seasoned and cooked just right.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, Shree’s Crab Bucket is a culinary gem you do NOT want to miss. Amazing food, great vibes, and service that makes you want to come back again and again. I will definitely be returning soon!
