Chinatown Buffet — Restaurant in Garden City

my family and i went to this place n the first thing that turned me of was the food there really much to choose from let alone i couldnt understand if this was a chinese or hispanic buffet the food wasnt very great. the service was horrible we had to ask for condiments for the food when they should of been out for the customers. we had to take silverwear from another table to eat our food. i saw crab legs so i grabbed some so did my uncle the waitress seen my uncle with the crab legs n told us that they had to charge us extra .. being said that i grabed mine before my uncle when she seen them on my plate she said she had to charge me aswell. if i wouldnt have giving them to my uncle she would have taken them from me i wouldnt be surpised if they would've put them back on the line. after that she was watching our table like we were doing something wrong it felt very uncomfortable. we hadnt even finished one plate n she had put the bill on the table it felt like they were trying to get rid of us.. when we finally did pay the bill my husband and i paid our share and went to the car to wait on my uncle on the way out the door they asked me if i paid , mind you our money was on the table before we even got up.. once me n my husband were in the car the waitress followed us to our car telling us we didnt pay, when i told the last waiter one out of our party was in the restroom.. over all this was the worst expirience i've ever had in my life at a buffet n i dont suggest anyone one go there .. you know what they say about a resturant if the parking lot isnt full the place is no good well in this...

Your greeted with a welcoming hello when you enter definitely a star for that.

My waitress was very nice, attentive and made it a point to anticipate what I needed even has a drink to go prepared for me without me asking for it. A star for that.

They seemed to keep the buffet bar well stocked and clean. A star for that.

I can't say that I tried every dish on the bar but from what I did try; the potatoes, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, seseme chicken ( I think that was sesame chicken or orange chicken) it was good.

I do believe they had some of the sweet and sour chicken sitting on the bar so long that a few pieces was dried out.

Also I tried both egg rolls types and it seems that they may be trying to save money by stuffing them both with just cabbage. I can see them using just vegetables for the spring rolls but they did not chop the cabbage well. When I ate both egg rolls I pulled out huge clumps of cabbage leaving the egg rolls empty. Chopping the cabbage more would have prevented that.

I still think it's okay to give this restaurant a try if you're nearby they even smile and thank you for coming on...

Absolutely disgusting. Sat down with our first plates nothing on it was edible. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and got another still nasty. Told them how nasty it was and both of our plates went back full both times. My daughter couldn’t even eat the mac’n’cheese. It was over $40 for my husband, myself, and 4 year old to eat and let me say it again we didn’t even eat. The cashier was super rude and on her phone the whole time. No one seemed to care that we had a problem. Save your self some money and DONT GO HERE. Barley any options at that. NO STARS IF I COULD.
