Read moreIt was close to 10:30pm, and my partner and I were starving. We were glad we found this spot open till 4am.
Parking: Free parking. They’re located in a lot. Finding a spot was easy, but then again, we visited late lol.
Ambiance/Environment: It’s a small spot. They have limited indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered take out.
Service: Our cashier was nice. The cooks were quick and efficient. We got our order in less than 2 minutes.
What we ordered:
Chicken Gyro - served on a warm pita with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. You’re also able to choose your sauce. I asked for hot sauce in the gyro and white sauce in the side. I really liked this! They’re generous with the chicken, and their hot sauce is definitely hot. It is messy to eat, so I’d prefer maybe an extra pita to catch the falling chicken?
Chicken Platter - served with fluffy rice, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce salad. My partner asked for white and green sauce. He liked the white sauce better than the green sauce. The green sauce is spicy and tasted citrusy. I also tried the chicken and rice, and we both enjoyed it. The chicken and rice were cooked well.
Pricing: The chicken gyro was $10.99, and the chicken platter was $12.99. We did not add anything extra. I’d say it’s worth its price. I consider this affordable. We enjoyed our dishes and full afterwards. I also appreciate them for...
Read moreI recently visited "Naz's Halal Food" and ordered a chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger. The chicken sandwich was quite good. However, when my order was delivered, I noticed that the drinks were just put into a plastic bag without any napkins, which seemed unusual as some places even include toothpicks. While I wasn’t expecting a lot, providing napkins without having to request them would have been appreciated.
The cheeseburger posed a bit of a challenge to eat; the fillings kept falling out. In my opinion, both sandwiches and burgers should be constructed in such a way that they don’t fall apart, allowing for a comfortable eating experience without any mess.
The interior ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant.
One important note for me was the authenticity of their Halal certification. When a restaurant promotes itself as Halal, I expect some visible certification or indication in the restaurant. When I inquired about it, I was told to check their website. Upon checking, the only option available was to send an email and wait for a response. For someone who values these specifics, this was a bit unsettling and made me question the authenticity.
Overall, I hope these points are addressed in the future. If you like this post, it could help bring some attention to these issues and possibly prompt better service and transparency regarding their Halal...
