El Luchador in Gardner, KS, provided us with the best authentic Mexican food experience we've ever had! I visited with my husband, mother, and daughter, and we all left completely satisfied with our lunch.
We sampled a variety of dishes from the menu, including birria and chicken empanadas, chicken quesadillas, and chicken nuggets and fries from the kids' menu. We also enjoyed cucumber lemonade and a house margarita. Every item exceeded our expectations in taste and quality.
The owner, whose mother is the talented chef behind these delicious dishes, was incredibly kind and passionate about their food. He even treated us to birria tacos on the house, taking the time to explain the seasonings and how the consomé is incorporated into the sauce topping the empanadas. This personal touch made us feel truly cared for and appreciated.
We couldn't help but leave a great review after such a wonderful experience. We look forward to seeing this business thrive. Come try them out—you won't be...
Read moreI'm so heartbroken to have to be giving this review. I should've taken pics of our food but forgot. I was 100% eager and open minded as we've waited months to try it out. Lunch for 2 people with a bud light and margarita was over $30. We had 1 empanada, 1 taco, and a burrito. I can not stress enough how ZERO flavor is in this food. We definitely had fish in what the girl told me would be beef. The burrito beef looked grey - not like beef. And trust me, I know what cooked beef looks like. The heavy salt on the margarita is the only flavor. I know you're going to have to see for youself to believe it. Do me and yourself the favor of just ordering something small and cheap - and then know that everything is that bland (I'm talking beyond bland - you know your chewing and it ends there). I will never go back. At least we can look at the pretty wrestlers on the building when we drive by. Art is out of this world. So sorry owners. Please - you can do this! Then Gardner will overwhelm you...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I love the food it’s great!
My problem is both times we have went there something was missing from the bag which is why we may not go there again.
I am not a fan of having to check every time if all my food is in the bag.
I am also not a fan of how small the salsas are when its cheap to make it’s really good but other Mexican restaurant give you 3-4 times the amount.
Otherwise the people are friendly would be 5 stars if it was not for that which is a big thing for me when you’re paying money for a product.
Edit: The company has told me that everything is fresh with the salsa so more expensive than once thought! Good on them.
Although forgetting food still rates it...
