First, we love Panda Express. We have frequented several of them from California to Kansas and were super excited one opened up near us. Second, we came in tonight for dinner and they were telling us about how little food was available so we could only order from approx 6 items, all that had been sitting, as they were in the final hour of closing. I’ve worked service before and I know 9pm means closing at but that does not mean you disrespect your customers so you can leave at 9pm. You serve food until 9pm, not stop serving at 8. She gave us our food and said we close in 20 mins so the dining will be closed. Ok… Third, several people came in after us and they did the same thing, also telling them they couldn’t order food because they were closing. You’re a food establishment! You serve your menu UNTIL 9pm, not stop everything early so you can close and leave at 9pm! Fourth, EVERY single worker was either with a terrible attitude, was on their phone, or rolling eyes/frustrated with THEIR CUSTOMERS because they couldn’t actually order any food while they were still open. These customers ordering food are why you have a pay check. The manager who was closing shop, walked by me several times shouting she was locking up and shook her keys at me as she walked by. Each worker then shouted “I want to go home”. I was in there until 9:02pm… I am absolutely appalled by their behavior and will never be at this establishment ever again. Work in service if you are willing to work and...
Read moreThursday August 24th we just finished getting milk and other items and decided to stop at Panda in Gardner, KS about 8pm. Some of the food we ordered wasn't ready yet, so the guy asked if I could wait 3 to 4 minutes around the corner. We ended up waiting 20 minutes, all the cars waiting before us got there food. I could see all the young kids inside giggling and girl wearing black, which I'm assuming was the manager, was doing absolutely nothing, and laughing as well. My wife was in the cat and witnessed everything. I noticed they were messing around with is at this point for some unknown reason and I knocked on the door, and all of them just stared at me, and one if the blonde girls with glasses said, "I'm not going out there" to another male employee. So I started to go to the main entrance, and suddenly the girl with glasses decides to give us out meal. The entire staff was laughing at something, and being incredibly immature. You cannot run a business with a bunch of teenagers managing the place. There were about 10 employees inside all doing nothing with our good just sitting in the boxes. They refused to deliver it to us until I went to the door. I will be contacting corporate, as I am a disabled veteran and should never have to be treated like this, as...
Read moreCame at 2030 to get food for my family. They close at 2100. Chairs on all the tables. Was immediately told “this is all we have we close at 9”. We changed our order to accommodate the tight schedule. They under filled our containers and when they realized we were eating there immediately reminded us we needed to be gone by 9. Food was mediocre, lomein was all vegetables which she did preface but then gave us 3/4 of a container. While we were there trying to finish our food quickly they turned away multiple people. They ended up making a new batch or orange chicken which is all we wanted and refused to sell it to any customers. I understand wanting to go home at the end of shift but close at 2030 if you’re going to refuse to provide a service after that. Service was the worst I’ve seen in years. Extremely unfortunate that this Gardner location is so terrible because we live within 15 min. I’ll drive the extra miles to get to 119th because they are always good. This was an unacceptable experience for hospitality and I hope the owner sells so someone who knows how to staff a restaurant with individuals who “want” to serve people. Go ANYWHERE...
