I ordered 2 meals for carry-out online using the Perkins website. When I arrived to pick up the order, I was told that they were out of meatloaf, which was one of the meals. I questioned why if they were out of something they didnât call and was told that a phone number doesnât come across on the order. However when you order using the Perkins website, the process requires you to enter your phone number. So, moving on, we decided on a new order to replace the missing meal and I asked that they remake the whole order as the one meal would be stone cold by the time they got the 2nd order ready. At this point a âmanagerâ named Paul stepped in and rudely told me that I needed to take that up with DoorDash. He obviously assumed I was a DoorDasher, I looked at him and asked what was he talking about, I ordered on the Perkins website?? I then said just cancel the entire order and refund it as I wasnât going to be spoken to that way. Paul then informed me he couldnât refund as the only person that could do refunds is someone named Terry, who wasnât there. I canât believe that Perkins would not have a manager that could handle a refund. I asked for a receipt or something in writing that said they owed me a refund and Paul steps toward me and said âwhat? Are you afraid we wonât give you your money?!â The other employee, I think her name was Alaina, told Paul to step away. Alaina was trying to be helpful and Paul was being threatening. I barely had a voice as I had laryngitis so they canât say I was yelling or out of control. Frustrated, yes. Also this review shows my husbandâs name, but I am female and Paul was trying to intimidate me. Alaina should be commended on her ability to try to correct a bad situation and Paul has no business working with the public, much less as a supervisor that should be showing the staff how to handle situations professionally. We usually either order carry out or eat in at the Perkins in Gardner Kansas about twice per month and are members in a club that has an annual Christmas party there. It is unfortunately the only Perkins close to us and I wonât go back as long as Paul is employed. Also, fix your website ordering so that phone numbers are provided with the order so that staff can notify customers of...
Read moreWhen we arrived at Perkins, it took almost 10 minutes for our party of 7 to be seated. After being seated, a waitress pleasantly took our drink orders. When our drinks arrived, a waiter pretty quickly came by to get our order. But then we waited an hour for our food to come out of the kitchen. During that hour we did not receive refills. A When it did come out, one of our meals was missing. The waiter apologized and told us it had been overlooked by the cook. 20 minutes later, they brought us the missing meal. Three bites in, my son found a dime cooked into his eggs on the sandwich. We told our waiter about it, and he took the dime and did nothing in response. While we were eating our food, another table got tired of waiting for their food and left. The hostess cleared off the table obviously confused by what had happened. I mentioned to her she might want to let the kitchen/wait staff know so they didn't continue preparing their food. As we were preparing to leave the waitress walked out with a tray of food for that table. She started to give the food to our table, and I told her that it wasn't ours, we had already eaten. But tgat I thought it was probably the food for the table that had left. She said, "I wish you would have told me that before I brought all this food out here." I replied that it wasn't my job to have relayed that information. None of this poor experience had been relayed to the manager. So I asked to speak to a manager. I kindly explained to him how poor our experience had been. He was apologetic and realized why I felt the need to talk to him. He was willing to refund the cost of the sandwich that we found the dime in. I did appreciate his willingness to hear about the situation. But he definitely needed to be more involved in the operation of the restaurant and to have been aware of how poorly the service was going. His staff should also have known to inform him about finding a foreign object in food. This was a disappointing...

Mu husband ordered the same except no lemon. We got our drinks, no lemon in my water! Which is not a big deal! She takes our order! I ordered grannyâs omelet, with hash browns, wheat toast, and salsa! My husband.ordered the same but with pancakes and no salsa! It was 30-40 minutes before we ever got our food! At the time that we ordered, there was only 5 other tables that had people! Mu husband had already drank his tomato juice. When our food finally arrived, I asked for salsa again, Cholula hot sauce for my husband, extra napkins and jelly for my toast. She then said you are getting pretty needy, jokingly but I didnât find it funny! We got the extra napkins and the hot sauce. Still no lemon, salsa or jelly! She never came and asked us how everything was! Never asked my husband if he wanted more juice! We had to ask for our ticket! It was 5 minutes or more before she brought it! When she did, she said I appreciate you guys!! Her name was Jennifer!! When she finally brought our ticket she says âI appreciate you guys!â Really??!!!
