This used to be my favorite Asian restaurant in Garfield Heights( Until today)..... I am a educator for one of the elementary schools in Garfield Heights, so I decided to order food for my daughters before my break. I was very impressed because the food was ready in a timely manner, however once I got home and opened the packages I was highly disappointed.... My daughter’s chicken nuggets were burnt and the fries were hard and old. I ordered the Shrimp Chow Mein Lunch (YUCK!!!). The rice was so hard I couldn’t chew it and it was filled with nothing but onions.... Remember.... It was my lunch period, so I tried to eat it... But I just couldn’t... I kept my daughter’s meal(even though it was burnt), but I called to return mines. First, the man that answers tells me to bring the food back and they will remake, however I inform him that I am unable to because I have returned to work. So, he tells me I can bring it back but it has to be by 3:00 pm( remember I work at a school and were not done until almost 3:00) and he tells me(several times)” not to eat food”..... I rush over and show him pics of nuggets and give him the food... He looks in the container and says “you eat too much” and then an Asian lady comes out and says “she ate too much, call police”... Long story short, they returned the$6 and the lady said don’t come back..... They never apologized for the inconvenience (my lunch break), and I actually spent $20.50 with them. I bought 3 dinners.. All I returned was one item and they treated me that way.... People, we gotta do better.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THEM, THEY DONT CARE OR RESPECT YOU THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY, IRREGARDLESS OF...
Read moreSECOND REVIEW System won't allow 2nd review, despite this being a separate series of events. Ordered through Doordash. Delivery was fine, and a 5 minutes ahead of estimate. No sweet & sour with egg rolls on $50 order. -1. No flatware. -1 No Napkins. -1 FOOD POISONING -Everything! It was the Beef & Snow Pea Pods. I thought the meat was too tender for standard restaurant fare. That's because it wasn't cooked! It was darkened by the marinade, so in the poor light in which I was eating it, the visual effect was slight. There was one bite, about half way through the meal that tasted so wrong it couldn't be swallowed. I will end my description there. Don't Eat At This Restaurant.
When a restaurant doesn't have something I ordered, but does have my phone number, use my phone number! (They were out of shrimp eggrolls. They just left it out of the order entirely, instead of seeing of we wanted to switch to regular eggrolls. Next: if I order 2 large entrees, I should receive TWO SEPARATE orders of rice. Not one. Finally, the standard condiments for Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon include Sweet & Sour Sauce. No. Duck Sauce is not even remotely the same thing. They might be similar in color, but that is the end of the similarity. If I ordered egg rolls, I shouldn't have to ask for Sweet & Sour Sauce. If I ordered Crab Rangoon, I shouldn't have to ask to ask for Sweet & Sour Sauce. This evening, I had ordered egg rolls & crab rangoon, but had to ask for sauce, then argue about Duck sauce not being the same. I expect to return to this location once more, and I will keep an open mind for that visit. A person may have been having a bad day. I may edit this review and edit...
Read moreIt's hit or miss with this place. I like trying places with good reviews and seeing if they live up to it. This place has been up and down. First off, their fried dumplings are the best I've had in years. The "egg rolls" are more like generic spring rolls. Greasy over cooked shells, mush vegetable inside. The chow mein and lo mein are excellent. Both are classics that work well no matter the varieties. The BBQ spare ribs are the usual style of sweet meat, with just a slight bit of chew. The General Tso, was sub par, the sauce was clearly some kind of store bought syrup, emphasis on the sweet, no balance at all just jelly that made my mouth feel like I'd eaten chicken flavored cotton candy for hours straight. The almond chicken, which I have been anticipating trying, turned out to be the same sweet and sour chicken chunks with a sprinkle of I'm guessing powdered almonds on top, and a side of some brown glop I guess is supposed to be a pork gravy.
All in all, it's mid-level Chinese food at a slightly inflated price. But since it's close to work, I'll...
