Over the past several years, on the way to work (night shift), and about every other week I order online a Gargantuan. And only the Gargantuan for the hugeness and awesome meats in this thing. Tonight, I picked it up headed to work and discovered it absolutely had NO MEAT! I received a $25+ lettuce, tomato & onion sandwich for my 12+hr shift tonight! Called them up and Mitchell made my order up and delivered it to me on his way home after his shift. He said he needed to get a couple new people re-trained since it happened TWICE today. I don’t think re-training is the only thing that will resolve this issue. A sandwich called the Giant JJ Gargantuan with a price of $22.25 does not require critical thinking skills, just a little bit of basic thinking once you’ve created a skimpy sandwich and not ask, “hey guys, this can’t be right…right?”. “Screw it, ain’t my money or my dinner. Hell ya, got a tip on that order, too!” If that tip was shared, fine. But, who ever made that Giant Gargantuan and just didn’t care needs to start caring about the community they serve. Although I won’t be able to eat till about 3-4am amidst of servicing patients and other healthcare colleagues, my my mind and wellbeing to do so carefully, safely and with care is dependent on that damn Gargantuan! Mitchell, get that kid’s tip, have them understand the importance of what they do for who...
Read moreUPDATE 11/18/2020- with such great individual experiences here since my last review (not to mention our staff are constantly ordering from them for individual delivery) we went back on our claim to not order bulk platters from this location. We ordered 45 box lunches today at 10:00 AM for a 11:30 pick up and although not ideal for the store Manager and his team, they knocked it out of the park for us. WE WILL ORDER BULK LUNCHES FROM THEM AGAIN. Thank you John and Team.
We are a local business and often times have luncheons for guests, clients and employees, and today was the third time this year we have ordered bulk platters and all three times the food quality was insanely different than if you bought a single sandwich. We understand making in bulk changes things slightly, but no joke, these sandwiches had a single slice of meat, a fist full of lettuce and only 50% tomato coverage, you basically tasted lettuce and bread. It is also clear they use day old bread for bulk orders. For a company 5 minutes from them, where our employees enjoy individually and regularly, this is a huge disappointment for all. Our minds are blown a Manager/Supervisor would allow such low quality product to leave their kitchen. We will never depend on Jimmy Johns S. Airport Rd. Traverse City again to fulfill bulk lunch orders, just an...
Read moreEVERY OTHER JJ's I've been to has made it a practice to greet every customer with an enthusiastic hello and above normal customer service. This Jimmy John's falls utterly short! The young lady at the register might as well have rolled her eyes at me and asked 'what do you want?' I was waiting for the receipt and was so bothered with the crappy service I had not registered the fact the jerk of a cashier told me the receipt would be 'down there. Good thing I had been to several Jimmy John's or I would not have known where down there was. At this point I was VERY disappointed. The also unenthusiastic and SLOW sandwich guy forgot my pickle and looked at me like I was crazy because I didn't want it cut. To which I tried to explain that the cut pickles cut my mouth at the corners and he thought that was apparently stupid. There was also a big girl with long black curly hair that was not tied up (food handlers violation) loitering behind the counter chatting with the cashier who was at that point cutting meat. I would be surprised if people didn't find long black hair in their sandwiches. The food was good so I had to at least give it two stars but I don't know if it's worth a...
