PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I have gone to Hooters in Garland on the lake twice this summer. My moto if I don't like something the first time, I'll try it again once more because my bad experience could have been a fluke. First time, walk in with a party of 7 and are seated promptly. It took a few minutes for the server to come over and get our drink order and queso appetizer. Server comes back around 10 minutes with different size beers, waters and tea for all menbers in our party. All the guys ordered the same large beers. But they said it was ok and just drank what was there. Queso came around 5 minutes after the beer. Then it took another 10 minutes for the server to come over to take our order. Un be knows to her we could see her chatting with her friends and obviously not doing her job properly. But let it slide and kept waiting for our food. By this time the water and tea glasses were empty and beer was under halfway full. We ordered another queso hoping to get some food out since our stomachs were being eaten from the inside out we were so hungry. We got the next bowl of queso about 10 more minutes after that. Then finally got more beer and water and tea refilled. Another 15 minutes we had our food, BUT good God almighty they forgot one of our friends sandwiches. He was the hungriest of us all!! Yeek. He waited another 20 minutes for his food. Needless to say service was bad. The manager never came around asking how we were doing, only another server tell her she was cut. Im like, wait a minute. We need to get a server if she is cut. Another server came over and got our tab and we paid no issues and then walked out!! Shaking our heads in disbelief. Took 45 min to get our food and drinks. Took my friend even longer for his sandwich and he got stuck with the little beer too. So parched and starving. 2nd time, didn't even make it to the table. We finally saw the manager. He was a tool straight out of the garden shed. He was extremely disrespectful to our party of 4. We were walking toward the door in the parking lot and I was grabbing all our masks out of my purse and we were putting them on. He drives up in his black suv and parks right in front in the handicap parking. Glad that's his spot and not for the customers with disabilities. Any how, he says as he is getting out the door of his suv, get your masks on or you can't come in. I was taken back. We were coming from our car in the parking lot and he blurts that out as we had our masks in our hands putting them on. I told the gentleman aka manager of Hooters that so rudely interrupted our happy conversation that why yes we will put them on before walking in as we know what to do. He then walks in and doesnt look back or even help hold the door for us ladies and gents to walk in. Such class. Then one friend just felt extremely disrespected by the whole incident that he didn't want to eat there. There was a woman in her car that saw the whole thing and said he just did the same thing to us to get our to go food. She said our masks were aready on. Just horrible customer service and not friendly at all. Many people come because of the environment and food quality. I can now say both are disappointing at Hooters in Garland on the lake. We won't be back and will take our business and friends elsewhere. ta ta. That's all folks. Good luck if you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually have no problem here. Last night was the first time I was very unhappy. This review is about the closing bartender who was working Sunday 12/20 on the patio named Bianca.
I (a female) have been here many times, with my male friends. Was always treated as a normal customer. Last night, I was on a date with a woman. We were asked by the hostess where we wanted to sit, inside or out. We said out, please. She said okay great follow me, please. She opens the patio door, and naturally a few bar patrons look at us entering the room. Bianca noticed her customers looking at us, and YELLED. "THE PATIO IS CLOSED." The hostess was confused, my date was clearly uncomfortable. I just said uh okay ... we can go in. So we sat on the side of the bar inside. We watched Bianca allow 2 straight couples to sit at the bar after us, after just yelling at us that it was closed. Our bartender INSIDE, was absolutely lovely. She was very nice, the Jameson shots were a good size, the pineapple back was delicious. She even brought our shots to us when our server was busy. Our server was named Merrari. Probably spelling her name wrong, sorry! But her name is just like Ferrari with an M. She was a great server. Our food came hot, our drinks weren't ever empty. We told her what happened and thanked her and the bartender for treating us nicely.
I am appalled at the way we were treated by Bianca. I can't believe that is ok here. I am a woman, for women, always have been, always will be. I go to Hooters to support women. There's good food, good drinks, good vibes, sure. But most of all, women working... I like to support that. We were discriminated against because we aren't men... but you have potential with each customer, regardless of their gender. You don't know that I come in during Christmastime, specifically to tip people in the industry extra. When we left, I noticed another gay couple just thrown into a corner. It was like they wanted to hide us. This is 2020, almost 2021. We are way past this. The way Bianca treated us was NOT ok. We watched her cry over some sort of situation with a customer's tab, messing up the vibe of the bar, and felt it was her karma. I love Hooters, and I tell EVERYONE I know about this location. My date and I live not even 5 minutes away from it. But I don't think we will be back.... which is unfortunate. Not once in my over 10 years of going to Hooters have I ever been treated this way. Thank you to Merrari and our bartender inside. Bianca, hope you went to sleep crying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSunday 2/11/2018, my family was in the mood for wings. We arrived about 4, it took at least 10 minutes to be greeted/acknowledged by the hostess. Dirty tables everywhere. But we decided to wait. We were sat and greeted by our waitress in a timely fashion. Our drink order and food order was taken promptly. Our food came out probably a little longer than normal but in a acceptable time frame. Our 20 wings, kids meal was dropped off first. We told the girl who dropped off our food we would like 3 plates (my son, Wife and I were splitting the 20 wings) and they forgot our fries and celery. When that girl came back we informed her the 20 winged were cold. This is where the wheels sell off...
She looked at us like what do u want me to do. She went and got our waitress who apologized and said she will have another batch right out. Well 30 minutes later we still didnāt have our wings. We asked to speak to a manager. Some guy came out with an attitude, with very minimal concern in his voice and he asked what was wrong. I said we just want our food. He said āSir I have only been here about 2 minutes Iāll go checkā. Well it is after 5 pm now. I know for a fact that manager had been there for much than longer than 2 minutes. I saw him Walking around the kitchen and bar area shortly after we were sat. When I asked the waitress how long he had been there she said he got there/started at 4:30. So now no food and someone lieing to us.
I had, had enough, I got up with my youngest and couldnāt sit there anymore, because I knew if the manager came back out I would not have anything nice to say. Finally we asked them to box up our food which took at least another 15 minutes after the manager said he would check in it.
Some guy not a manager finally brought out the food. My wife had to say something about the experience, he was nice enough- took off all the food but left the drinks. Instead of free food, a management staff that expressed concerned for our poor experience would have gone a lot farther. The manager never came back out. The poor server was caught in the middle but the lack of concern for customers by management says a lot. During this experience the place was dirty, no pre bussing, empty tables sat full of dirty cups and plates. If we could have given a zero review we would have. We will give it another shot sometime down the road but the franchise owner/hooters should know about...
