A few months ago I stopped at this Whataburger at BassPro to placed an order for my family which well over $40. When I got home, I was missing a onion ring, I tried to call because I didn't want to go back but no one answered. The next morning I went again to order breakfast, the total was around $30. I told the gentleman at the drive thru about the missing onion rings he was very nice, told me he was the manager and next time I come to just tell whoever was working that Brent said to add the onion rings at no charge. A few weeks later I did just that, but unfortunately the woman who identified herself as a manager said that she was not told anything about it and she was not giving me any food without me paying for it. At this point I had already ordered 4 burgers and 2 large fries so my total would have probably been at least $40. She was so rude and basically told me that I was lying and she was not giving me any FREE food. I never raised my voice or said anything rude to her just that it was NOT FREE FOOD I had paid for it already. There was a line so I just told her to cancel the whole order and left. I have ordered from Whataburger several times since then BUT will never go to this location again. I wish I would have gotten her name because in no way did I deserve that behavior. I felt like I was being interrogated and it was very embarrassing, the people in the cars in front and behind me had to have heard the conversation, because she was extremely loud. I live less than a half of a mile away from this location but now go to the Rowlett locations which are both about 4 miles away and I have to pass by this location to get to the other locations, but it is the principal of the matter, the behavior of the woman was completely undeserved, I was never rude or raised my voice to to her at any point and keep in mind this was over onion rings that were less than $4 dollars that I HAD PAID FOR. And this was not just an employee she identified herself as a MANAGER and honestly her behavior was so belittling and very accusing. She wanted my receipt and wanted the exact date, she was already very rude but when I told her I didn't have my receipt and honestly did not know the exact date she became rude on steroids. Again this was a manager and her behavior was over less than $4 dollars. I would have hated, to have seen her behavior if it had been $5...

It was expensive but tasty in the past but NOT TONIGHT...TRIED IT A WEEK APART AND SAME BAD FOOD....
RATING/SCORE OF EATABILITY:
-Night shift food/service/culture/atmosphere- low score of 2 OUT OF 10 [drive thru girl smiled while she did her job-next girl forgot to print my receipt].
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ UPDATED REVIEW 01.22.2025*told Julie I wouldn't put her on blast and appreciated her taking my call after I left.
-However@management- needs training ASAP COOK - LAY OFF THE SALT 🧂 YOU RUINED MY LAST 2 MEALS AND I IMAGINE SAME FOR OTHERS. SERVICE partially/non-existent in drive thru...no cars in front of me and after 3 to 5 minutes of zero service had to drive up to window to place order then SUPER SUPER SLOW SLOW SLOW...ONLY 1 GIRL aside from Julie seemed glad to be at work. Rough visit. Very awkward.
Had to call when I got home because I didn't want to get back out, BUT THE GOOD WAS FAIRLY BAD TONIGHT, BURGER WAS NOT FIT TO EAT.
Julie graciously took my phone call and apologized for the issues AND covered for the manager that was "in the lobby."
I was the only one in drive thru and lobby was near empty when I arrived. By the time my order was ready, the entire lobby was packed.....The entire dining room filled up while I waited in the drive-thru for a $10.00/Whopper Jr.
Asked for pickles mustard and jalapeños ONLY and ORDER TOOK about 20 minutes in drive thru.
Cook needs help because there was ZERO ORGANIZATION IN THE KITCHEN LAST NIGHT. Cook needs training.
I know the employees here can do better. But this shift was a HOT MESS.
I think I got someone ELSE'S leftover onion rings. Again for $10/bucks I deserve at least half a dozen I can eat. I had not eaten 1 onion ring when I plated the food in the photo. The Onion Rings were nasty AS SEEMINGLY super greasy? MAYBE partially 4? But definitely not good like always. 😕
Burger bun was okay, but meat was soaked in salt .. inedible.
Wasted time and @ $.$....
There's nothing like going to sleep hungry.
[@Owner... I've dropped $20 now and haven't been able to finish or eat my meal as they were ILL PREPARED AND DISGUSTING TO EAT].
Please get your staff and...
Read moreThis is the closest location for us and we've continued to order here for years for convenience only. We are constantly disappointed and swear never again. Today was the final straw. We've never posted about the CHRONIC inaccurate orders, cold food, terrible customer service, poor attitudes and extremely long wait times even when you've pre-ordered online. We're all human and everyone is going to mess up every now and again, we've shown them grace time and time again after coming home with the wrong drink(s), missing items, inaccurate items on burgers, cold food, half filled boxes of fries, no straws, no condiments that were requested, or spicy ketchup that was not requested that gets thrown away EVERY time we get home, such a waste by not listening or reading. I'm sure most of us have been in the industry at one point in our lives, which is why I don't understand how this place can mess up orders 90% of the time. It's not even large orders! It's 2 or 3 combo meals for our family of 3. We've tried ordering online thinking maybe it's just a miscommunication because of the speaker so close to the highway but that makes no difference whatsoever even when we order online and it's printed out in black and white they still manage to mess it up every single time & we wait even longer for the order to be ready! Today for example, ordered sweet tea, recieved unsweet, ordered 1 burger with cheese only, it was loaded, paid for a large onion ring, recieved a medium. This is just one day of many days of inaccurate orders like this one. I know we have much bigger problems in the world but I'm finally putting this out there for anyone who owns that establishment or works at that establishment who may really need to keep their job. I know we're not the only local family with chronic issues that will stop spending our money at this location. I do you see some folks on here who have had good experiences with this location and we have too. But after going here monthly from many many years I have to say we've had more poor experiences than good. Local, repeat customers help your business prosper and it's too bad we just can't do it anymore. Prayers that your business can thrive without your repeat...
