Jannet’s Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Garland

I dunno how this place is so highly rated. I ordered 3 expensive pizzas. We usually goto Joe's pizza or Olive Oil pizza. So this was my first time at Janets. It's inside the plaza no problem. They have tables if you want to eat there on the spot. The taste? Was NOT worth the $50 I paid. Very thin crust and very small pizza even though I ordered Large. Not enough cheese. Honestly to me they tasted no better than chain brands. But because of the other raters I MIGHT give it another chance. But I brought these 3 pizzas to a group of people. There was leftover supreme pizza and leftover pepperoni pizza. I don't think my group really liked it but were too gracious to say it. I usually eat a good amount of pizza but only ate a little bit of these. Customer service was polite but they were two underaged teens at the counter. Again no problem, I think it's nice for them to learn work ethic. But, they didn't look too hygenic as in their clothes and hair wasnt neat to not fall into food. Hands didn't seem too clean sorry. My take out order for a large chicken, spinach Alfredo pizza arrived quickly This dish is my favorite pizza, so I’ve ordered it a few times at a variety of pizzerias. In this case, the Alfredo sauce tasted more like a white sauce, lacking the typical rich flavoring of garlic and Parmesan cheese sauce. The chicken breast topping was dry. I also ordered a large house salad which was fresh and included tomatoes and cucumbers in addition to the typical mixed greens. The only issue here was that I received one single serve packet of the Newman’s dressing, which wasn’t nearly enough for the large salad. A side of vegetables was cooked perfectly but again lacked seasoning. I also ordered one serving of Tiramisu. The dessert was still partially frozen 1-1/2 hours after arrival when we began to eat it. This might have been an off night for the restaurant, as other reviewers rate the restaurant highly. This family pasta restaurant is truly the best I've ever had in the area, in Texas! We have now dined at this restaurant at least 10 times, taking family and friends, and told everybody we know. I have to say that this restaurant is truly, consistently, amazing each and every time we go there. We've ordered many different things on the menu, every single thing that we've ordered has been amazing and cooked to perfection! The chef really does have creating pasta dishes down to a science, his sauces are absolutely to die for.
