Update 01/28/2022 Quality has gone down (change of ownership?) What was once outstanding has become mediocre. Fried rice was dry and some parts crunchy. Crunchy rice? Old and stale. Vegetables were fresh but barely stir fried resulting is a slightly warm dish with nearly Zero brown sauce. I will not return!
We were there from 5pm to 6:15pm on a Saturday night and were the only customers, and no carry out or delivery orders that we could see. I'm guessing others have been disappointed lately as well. Update 11/13/2020. Post Covid-19 Still serving great FRESH Chinese food despite fewer customers. I've been craving a ”family style” tofu dish for months and haven't had a chance to get to the Asian area of Dallas. Asked if they could make it for me. She asked about what all was in it, the type of sauce, spiciness, etc. They made it PERFECTLY! Fresh vegetables, fresh tofu, etc. So if you don't see it on thier menu just ask. I'm going to be going back as often as I can.
It is inside of Garland Plaza, part of a modest food court. Food was very fresh, and the portions very generous. I had the orange Tofu which had over a pound of tofu. Spicy, but not too hot and hot chili oil was served for those who want flaming hot. Some nice little touches included plastic for and spoon that looked metal. Nicer disposable plate.
Only thing missing were customers. With little foot traffic in the mall, they had few customers. Sad when the food is so good and so reasonably priced. The food does take a little longer to be served but it was so fresh that I knew it was not prepared in advance. Fresh does taste best.
Try this little kitchen, you too will...
Read moreI ordered at 4:57pm and at 6:30 called to see where they were at with the order, in which they said it was on the way. It said it would take 50 minutes to prepare the food but I live very close so I’m not sure why it took longer than 45 min to deliver. I ordered orange tofu with brown rice, sesame tofu with fried rice, spring rolls, and miso soup. I got two things of orange tofu and white rice instead of brown rice. I would skip the orange tofu, the sauce is very liquidy and not the most flavorful like how orange chicken is usually a thick very flavorful sauce, but maybe they just make it in their own way, regardless it wasn’t very flavorful. I would say to get the sesame tofu instead but I never got to try it. As for the mango spring rolls, not the best spring rolls or peanut sauce I’ve ever had but not the worst, the mango in it was very yummy, i would get it again. Miso soup was good as well. I don’t think I would order delivery from here again as I got a couple things wrong and it took longer than an hour and a...
Read moreI really like this place, been a favorite since I found it, but my goodness does the woman not know how to take people their food. I'd even settle for her waving you down or calling it out. I ordered in person and said I'd wait. She saw me sit down, saw me waiting and never said a thing. Waited so long the pizza I also ordered started getting cold, I finally went over and she asked if I needed something to which I responded I was waiting for food. She said ok and walked away. 5 more minutes and the guy ask if I'm waiting for food and what was the order....it was sitting there the entire time....she seriously took my order (only one person ordered in that time I was waiting) and forgot?! They normally send out the kids to take food but I guess since it was an hour to closing they use them to help close. I never want to be the person lingering near the cash register waiting but when she takes your order make sure you do cause she will let it sit there rather than let you...
