Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Garland

It's been a minute since I had the Sonic Experience and wow, have they changed! First, their menu has changed and by that I mean the physical device. The food is still about the same which is delicious comfort food and yummy specialty drinks. But the menu still has the red button you push to order however now they display what you asked for on the screen for verification. Our order came to us quickly by a girl wearing a full facial covering I'm not sure if the mask was Covid-related or in religious observation. For that matter, I am not even sure our server was a female, but the food was hot and tasty. Now I'm not sure when Sonic got rid of the signature red trays but I wish they'd bring them back. After our meal, my friend had to hit a car wash to vacuum out the detritus we spilled. Sonic is known for refreshments like the cherry limeade slush and now they offer Red Bull Slush drinks. It really was the highlight of my meal. Very nice. We ordered tots but had to ask for ketchup twice before they responded by which time our tots had grown cold. I was thinking maybe Sonic could develop a biodegradable tray to use so that customers don't have to wear their meals after ordering. Sonic R& D can contact me through social media about my idea of a bamboo tray....

I have only came here 4 times and it has always been in the evening. Tonight on 8/13/22 at 10:29 pm was the last straw!!! It's just a bunch of young people running this restaurant. The guy over the speaker was so rude and kept speaking over me. He kept trying to guess my order as I was speaking and it was confusing. He got frustrated and then kept saying "that's what I said the first time". If he would have just let me talk without cutting me off then there would be no problems. I couldn't even order the rest of my food because he ended the conversation. When I get my ice cream, the server only put toppings on top but not inside of the ice cream! I paid to 2 mix ins and I guess because the order taker was angry with me he only put toppings on top and didn't mix it in?? A server named Preston came out and gave me my ice cream. I asked if he was the guy on the intercom and he said no and that he didn't know what was said over the intercom. I believe it was the server Preston because the guy on the intercom sounded just like him. Couldn't eat the ice cream because I really wanted the toppings I paid for. Tired of spending money and having to fight with workers to get the food I paid for. Absolutely will never come here, tired of the unsupervised teens...

Recently moved to the area a few months ago. This is the worst sonic I’ve ever been to in my life. The owner or someone from corporate needs to do a surprise visit. First time last month, very rude black girl doesn’t answer the intercom for me and 6 other customers while she’s inside laughing around 11:20 pm until an angry customer walks in and confronts her. She lied and said intercom was down.

A month later tonight around 11:30 the SAME woman took our 3 orders and we overheard her leave her mic on as she tells the customer to shut up gossiping to another worker! My husband and I stare at each other in shock! She answers the intercom to take our orders and she says “what do you want ??!” We place our order, she leaves her mic on again after we order and says “oh my god turn everything off at 11:30, I’m not taking no more orders!!!!”. I’m in shock writing this!! My husband drove off after she screamed through the intercom. We can’t eat food from anywhere with someone so mean and rude serving us! Sonic, do better in your hiring process and managing...
