I placed and paid for my to go order at the counter at 8:23 pm but they did not give me the food until after 9 am. There were only about 5 small tables of people dining in when I got there and by about 8:45 there was only one table left. There were 3 ladies in the kitchen and a lady up front. So: considering that my order was for just 8 barbacoa tacos and a cup of menudo, I'm actually angry that my spouse and I had to wait almost 40 mins for the food. It just doesn't add up. Because my husband and I make barbacoa at home frequently, and we have made menudo less frequently but still enough times to know first hand that these are things that take Hours to slow cook, so this place undoubtedly had already made both over night, so all they had to do was heat the tortillas. Judging by the finished product they fried the corn tortillas for the tacos, but I'm sure that didn't take more that 10 mins at most. And they visibly had pods of hot sauce ready to go. And even if they had to chop more onion/cilantro/limes: they only gave us equivalent of half an onion, 2 limes, and a stalk of cilantro, which again that's like 5 to 10 mins at most (plus 4 heated corn tortillas to dip in menudo). So my rant is because it just does not make sense to make people wait 40 mins for food that was already cooked it just needed assembly. And then the barbacoa was very lean and didn't have any flavor of its own: and Im not kidding they put like a tablespoon of meat in the tacos AND 2 of the tacos had BEANS ONLY inside instead of barbacoa. So did they run out? Was it an honest mistake? I'll never know. But I will say my spouse eats menudo from a lot of different sources and he said the menudo was decent but was not greasy enough for traditional standards but that the flavor was decent and the tripe had a clean flavor, less gamey. So the menudo would not be as good for a hangover due to lack of greasiness, but it would do in a pinch if you are just craving menudo and are nearby this place. So: I mean the lady up front was polite but she initially quoted 15 to 20 mins but it was 40 mins before we got the food, so if you are going, just know the tacos are like $2 each and they are really small and Call Ahead because it's going to be like a hour before you...

We order the following:
1 Quesadilla 1 Torta 3 Beef Tacos Plate 2 Drum Tacos 2 Carnitas Tacos 3 Barbacoa Tacos 1 Orchata Drink 1 Cantaloupe Drink 1 Coca Cola 6 Churros...
The Torta didn't have any flavor at all, the it flavor it had was sour creme...
The Drum Tacos didn't have any color, not even flavor. There wasn't any seasoning or marinade on it. The only flavor was waay overcooked meat or burned meat...
The Barbacoa Tacos didn't have any flavor...
The Beef Tacos didn't have any flavor and the meat was waay overcooked as well...
The Carnitas Tacos have the exact same issues...
One more thing to mention is that our order was to go. But they didn't have any idea of what we ordered, if it was to go or dine in. The lady was confused, even know that we never take a seat, we remained standing all the time. The lady was bringing a burrito plate, which we never ordered and she had to go back to the kitchen only to realize that they were all confused with the orders...
After we waited for 30 minutes, we received our order and we decided to ask what we had ordered. They read our order and they realize they never make the Churros we had ordered. That took another 10 minutes...
It's obvious that we are not planning on going back again, ever, which is a shame because the place looked so nice...
Read moreIf I could put negative stars that would be to many. Second time my husband and I have had this place. First time the food was mediocre, so it's been a while since we have tried it again. Definitely a fail. Food was horrible. We got caldo de res, and a torta with the supposedly good trompo they are supposed to have, according to some reviews. The caldo was flavorless. I tried to add salt, and extra lime and I gave up and gave it to my dogs. They liked it! To bad they arnt the ones paying for it and doing this review. 🙄. The trompo was less than okay. Dry actually which is confusing. I'm highly disappointed, and slightly pissed I just paid almost $15 for caldo that ended up being dog food. Don't get me started on the racism my husband witnessed! These ppl just straight up ignored this AA gentlemen that was there to assumably order food but eventually gave up and walked out. Shame on y'all! My husband got a greeting and was promptly asked what he wanted to order. 🤔 That dude waited... place wasn't even busy.. And not even a Hi, or one moment please, or nada. We won't...
