Tortas Revolucion 2 — Restaurant in Garland

I was just driving around and happened upon this place. The sign caught my eye and reeled me in when I was planning on skipping dinner.

I had the Suiza (the only “vegetarian” torta on menu) with all the fixings. It was basically like an ultimate grilled cheese. It’s huge. It’s a billion calories of cheese and bread. My mouth wanted all of it but the rest of my body said, “not today, sister.”

Ask for the other fresh green salsa to go with it. It’s pretty hot, but a really good combo.

The only vegetables in it were the avocado, tomato, jalapeño, and onion that came as options. I might ask them to add some hongos or nopales next time to make me feel better.

Came here for lunch with my wife & absolutely hit the spot! This is a small restaurant where there’s a nice variety of fresh food & drinks. We seated ourselves shortly after coming in & our server quickly took our drink & food order. Be advised I believe this restaurant takes cash only so be prepared. 🤑

I ordered the Alambres Insurgentes while my wife ordered a variety of tacos. Both of us ordered Horchata beverages which were refreshing & delicious.

Our server was kind enough to get me both corn & flour tortillas to go with our meal. Those who love spicyness will not be disappointed with the bottled Green Sauce, put the finishing touches on delicious meal.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants around. It's more focused on tortas (sandwiches), quesadillas and tacos then dinner meals like tamales, posole, enchiladas, etc. They make their own tortillas in house and they're delectable! I almost always order a torta and they have never let me down. Flavor is always phenomenal, salsas have a bit of a kick (green is my fav) and the portion sizes are large. These meals can easily be split into 2 and do well in the air fryer. All in all, this is in my top 3, authentic Mexican spots and I eat here once or twice a month....
