Auburn Garrett House Of Pancakes — Restaurant in Garrett

I wish I could leave zero stars. The courtesy of the staff here is not even close to what it was when it was the Auburn House or the Auburn House Of Pancakes. My wife, my child, and myself walked in to the Auburn/Garrett House Of Pancakes at approximately noon on 7/5/21 with the hopes of having a delicious brunch.

We specifically drove here from Hamilton, IN. A few minutes after we walked in the door a waitress came by and said that they don't have anything available for us and that she was just about to lock the door (we are a party of 3 mind you) (also why would she lock the door when the place is filled with customers??) we responded by saying okay and stood there and hesitated for a moment, hoping that the waitress would say that we could wait for a table, when she didn't say anything and then left and walked away, we left and went to our car.

There was another party of 3 that came in as we were leaving so we decided to wait to see if they would be turned away as well. We were able to see that the waitress sat the other party and then promptly locked the door behind them. I don't know what kind of business practice this is but it's not one that I want to patronize. They could have just asked us to wait for a table (which we would have happily done). Oh well,...

This place is a step back in time to small-town diners of yesteryear. The prices are beyond reasonable and you’re guaranteed to bring home the leftovers. The heart and soul of the this gem on the main strip in Garrett is Neely. The service she provides is why we come back time and again. She remembers her customers and no matter how busy this place gets you will always have extra and your glass will always remain full. The cook delights too — he takes pride in his ingredients and the food is piping hot and unbelievably fast. It tastes as good...

Awesome service and food. This restaurant is located in Garrett. A great place for wholesome food. Waitresses are friendly and attentive. Update to this review. Every thing was good until our regular waitress was fired. Then found out how owner treats his staff, terrible. I don't understand why they continue to work for him. No one deserves to get treated they way he does. I wish people would boycott him. It's bad! This place needs to get shutdown. Don't look in where the food gets cooked. This place needs to...
