The Grind Coffee House was worth the 1hour and 15 minute drive! I have been following their social media for a few months before having the chance to make it out there. I was not disappointed! The space is small and intimate. Seating is limited. The decor and ambiance was inviting. There was only one barista and one person taking orders. It was a full house! But none of that bothered me. I was intrigued by the menu and the many options they had! The current coffee flight being offered was Harry Potter themed and as I entered the shop there were people dressed up in Harry Potter themed costumes enjoying their coffee flight! Such a great idea! We tried a Gummy Bear energy mimosa with popping Boba, A very berry strawberry smoothie, a heart shaped duo latte cup, or 3, and of course, the coffee flight! Oh and some New Yorker bagels and muffins! It definitely was a great experience, worth the drive, worth the wait, and will not be my last time there!

I love it! My friends and I made a short trip (from the Fort to Garrett) just to try these cute little lattes! Let me start off by saying the coffee is WAY better than Starbucks. I love their creative options like Railroader and Caramel Craze (my two picks for my side by side latte). They also had a London Smog which I think was more of a Chai. The staff was also really friendly and pleasant! Also I love how the setting is like a cute little coffee boutique. I only wish it were closer, but we are definitely going to be making a couple more trips before these awesome cups go away! Wish they made this their signature or “Home Of” thing and we would come all year just to get these! Warning: this drink *may* contain like 4 shots of espresso..😅 perfect for the roast and toast if you catch my drift.. 😇

I go to many coffee houses. The grind coffee house in Garrett is my favorite in town. Mostly because it might be the only coffee shop. I had a delightful dirty spice chai. This coffee shop obviously has hard workers because they even worked on Labor Day. They're open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00. It was pretty busy because a lot of places were closed. Overall it's small but Scrappy. There's not a lot of seating. There are about 12 seats inside and three tables outside. It's a good place to pick up a cup of coffee and go. It had three selections of teas. Overall for Garrett is better than nothing. I think everyone should go and check out the coffee shop at least once. They also sell flights of coffee. Apparently that's a big thing now. Go check it out support local coffee shops

Was excited to spend time with a friend and she loves trying different coffees so... But as soon as we walk in we see it's crowded and only three places for groups, couples or people's to sit, as on person left a family of 5 asked my friend do you mind if we sit there cause we only have two seats here, so as my friend helps her clean the table she carries the tray of variety to the waitress which the takes the tray rolls her eyes and as she's turning to walk away shakes her head, 🤔 then the table we sat at was dirty and I went to get a rag to clean it and the same employee held the rag close to her saying no I'll clean it (with the same disgusted look she gave my friend), then as the employee sets the variety tray down she looked at us and said when your finished leave the tray on the table and had a irritated look. As I drink my coffee it's barely luke warm but I'm thinking I'll just heat it at home but my friend went and asked if they'd heat it up, the other employee was nice enough to give me a fresh new one that was actually hot. The decor is amusing with all the cute little sayings but the restaurant it self was just way to small with people standing on top of you if your sitting, coupled with the attitude, I will not be back, it wasn't that good to...

Update 10/20/24 The new location has a wonderful ambiance and offers ample seating options, which we truly appreciate. The decor and setup are absolutely delightful. However, my wife and I were slightly disappointed with the service provided by the baristas. Although they were not explicitly rude, we couldn't help but feel as if we were inconveniencing them with our service.

Additionally, I was not entirely satisfied with my beverage. I had ordered a hot Pumpkin Spice Latte, but the milk was not steamed properly, resulting in a flat and watery taste. On the other hand, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her iced latte.

Despite these minor issues, the inviting atmosphere of the new location is what would likely entice us to return. If the service could be improved and my drink prepared with properly steamed milk, I believe my experience would have been exceptional.

Old location review 2021: A very cute coffee shop. I got a pumpkin spice mocha that was excellent and would order again. The inside of the store is very small with limited seating and waiting area. The wait for our coffee was also a bit longer than other local coffee shops. But the owner and staff were friendly and my overall...

The atmosphere is great (when it’s not busy) with great music selection. Great decor. Always clean. A good place to hang out to chat or do HW/ work. But that’s where their greatness ends.

Their drinks are okay but overpriced compared to Starbucks and other small business coffee shops in a 35 mile radius (including Ft. Wayne). There’s an inconsistency with the quality of their drinks (depending on the baristas working that day). With the exception of 2 baristas, my regular go-to drinks are more often than not, not made correctly.

Again, with the exception of 2 baristas, the customer service is extremely lackluster. I mean it with I say, I am never greeted with a smile (except from 2 baristas). The employees seem very unhappy to be working here.

If you plan on going here during the weekend and when they’re busy, be prepared to have a LONG wait time. I’ve done it on 3 separate Saturdays, and without exaggeration waited 45+ mins to get my drink.

I hope that owner takes her time to refine this location before they open their other location...
