Gabriella's Old Time Pizza has more than pizza! Nothing wrong with their pizza, but there's lots of places with good pizza. Instead, my wife and I decided to order sandwiches (meatball, and ham & cheese) which turned out to be really good. We've only ordered a couple times before, and this was the first time we didn't get pizza. I would recommend sandwiches as they are a little different - they had great bread - good crust, but soft inside, toasted and with good melted cheese to ham ratio. There was some cheese that escaped to the crust, adding a crunchy layer which was good. They did serve food with paper plates and Styrofoam cups which seemed a little out of place but it was yummy so we didn't care. The sweet tea was good too, and no need to ask for a to-go cup! This visit we unexpectedly ran into some friends who invited us to sit with them so we had an impromptu visit and talked for quite awhile. The atmosphere is good for visiting, although every booth has as TV which was showing classic movies, in our case. So that can be distracting for many. They also have small tables outside if the weather is nice. It has limited parking in front at their entrance, but there is close parking next to the building also.

My family and I had a great experience at Gabriella's Old Time Pizza. It's a little further off I-69 than we expected, but the food made up for it. We tried their regular crust, thin crust, breadsticks and wings. My daughter had the wings as her meal. They were a good size and seemed to have plenty meat on the bone. The regular crust was not overly thick, but was a good crust not satisfied my children who prefer a regular / thicker crust. My husband and I had the thin and it is truly THIN! As a type 1 diabetic, I appreciate that as it helps my blood sugars to have less carbs involved with pizza (which is a challenge to dose for as it is). We chose to try the bold sauce on our pizzas, which the waitress described as not spicier at all, just typical marinara but with a stronger flavor that you could taste more. She said she preferred it. We enjoyed the taste, and would almost describe it as slightly sweet. I truly enjoyed this small local pizzeria. It's worth a stop! The waitresses were also very friendly, and the inside of the shop is small, but well maintained. Each table also has its own small mounted TV with Netflix or Hulu options, but no sound (can use closed captioning).

My daughter, grandson and I tried the place for the first time and felt like we had been going there for years. Absolutely friendly. Staff were polite and made sure we were satisfied without being pushy. The food was absolutely delicious. Best breadsticks I've ever had. Two words BOLD SAUCE if you know it you love it if not a must try. Kudos on the décor and a TV at each table, seating was spacious perfect for those of us that are larger built, really made it feel like a home cooked meal but in public. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in a super relaxed setting. Also have outdoor seating if that is your forte.

It's been a few weeks since my visit. I really had high hopes for this place. Their breadsticks were mediocre; redeemed only by the greeks pizza mimic cheese sauce. The pizza was terrible. A few feedback remarks:

less is more. The bold pizza sauce is terrible. You put honey directly into the sauce. There is nothing "old time" about this. This came directly recommended and it certainly should not. I recommend getting rid of it and offering mikes hot honey as a drizzle. The chilis in this honey offset the sweetness. The sweetness of your bold sauce is an acquired taste that I personally found offensive to the palate.

-less is more. Too much cheese. The quality of the cheese was questionable based on moisture content. My pizza had 1/4" thick slab of cheese. Despite this it had no pull. Moreover, it's just too much cheese.

Dough. The dough was the worst part of the pizza. The crust was raw and had texturing consistent of premade high yeast dough that had been pan formed, frozen, and thawed again. Moreover, dough should be allowed to rise. This dough was clearly not. It can also be said that your oven is clearly not hot enough to evenly cook a pizza. The center was cooked to completion with crust being raw.

In conclusion, my experience was not good. I took time in considering this review because of how terrible my experience was. I love to support local small businesses but when they literally make me sick I find it hipocritical of myself not to leave a review consistent of that which I would for a chain restaurant. I'm a pizza guy, one bite reviewer, and of course own my own pizza oven that i've developed my own recipes for. I hate to leave a bad review but I have to be honest. Having read a plethera of reviews prior to even visiting I can say that I most certainly do not agree with 5...
