Great food, local, love the regional Mexican food. El Pirul is a region in Mexico. Everywhere you go the food will be different based on regions, with the exception of just crowd-pleaser “Mexican” restaurants people tend to unduely 5-star. It is a humble hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves food at pretty reasonable prices considering the locale. Where less english is spoken & a regional authentic menu is, there I am. Food. A universal language where you dont have to speak the same dialect to understand each other’s needs. Good food, reasonable prices, 5 stars. today I went with my husband and a friend to go eat lunch and we order all the same thing which was steak tacos simple and easy while waiting for our food we got our drinks and a group of 4 people walked in they got their drinks plus their food before we did and meantime we see a roach crawling on the floor we got up and cancelled our order and left this is just nasty if u can see a roach out on the sitting area imagine in the back and in the kitchen .... just wanted to give everyone FYI...

My dad was there today, the server was rude to him, and his friends. My dad asked for a consomé and she said they didn’t have it but in the menu it says available for Saturdays and Sunday’s and then he asked for a few more minutes to look at the menu and the server took his friends orders and didn’t took my dads order, (they brought the food cold) so my dad asked to talk to the owner (we know her for many years) but the waitress never called the owner. And It’s not the first time...
