Edit: I'm changing this review from 1 star, to 3 stars, as I've been back a few times since the 1 star review a little over a year ago. The last few times I've been, the orders have all been correct, and the current staff seems more polite and attentive. I'm cautiously optimistic, and not quite ready to give higher than 3 stars, but I did want to give them credit for these last visits and improve the 1 star.
This N. Chester location has gotten terrible over the last couple of years. In the last several orders I've made on the app, every single one of them has been wrong. Normally it's something missing, such as cheddar bites. Sometimes they give you the wrong thing, like the fingers being rolled in hot honey mustard instead of nuclear, not sure how those two get confused.
My last order, every single thing was wrong. My wings n things had the fingers and wings rolled in sweet n spicy, when the fingers were supposed to be plain, and the wings were supposed to be nuclear. I selected extra seasoning on the fries, not extra side of seasoning. They had no seasoning on them but had a side cup of seasoning. It doesn't stick to them after the fact. My wife's cobb salad was ordered how it comes but with no tomatoes. It came with tomatoes but no cheese, and not only did she not get the extra dressing I paid for, they didn't put any dressing packs in at all. My son's big zax snack was missing a finger and one was about the size of a fry. The cheddar bites were missing, and the loaded fries had practically nothing on them.
Also, don't order and pay for extra sauces on the app, they will not be in the order, ask for them once you get there... if an employee will acknowledge you. I could spend some time checking everything while I'm there, but I shouldn't have to. Plus trying looking through everything while I have a 3 year old with me isn't an easy task. I've started going to the one on E. Franklin since it re-opened. So far it's much better.
A gripe with zaxby's in general is since they got rid of insane sauce, it seems like the nuclear has about the heat tongue torch used to have, and tongue torch closer to wimpy. At first i thought it may just be me, but after googling, it looks like other people have been saying the same. Read moreI normally don't review but I felt i needed to this time... I originally placed an order at the Zaxbys on West Franklin. Somehow the app had my location at Chester st. I wanted to cancel the order and just reorder at the correct store but that store (the worst one I have EVER been to...Monica at the register was clueless...the manager was the most unprofessional I have ever encountered in fast food...just horrible) was not willing to assist me and actually told me that I would have to go to other location in order to cancel the order. I ended up just telling myself to go ahead to the other store and pick up my order to avoid getting too upset inside the W Franklin store. So I go to the Chester St location and without even knowing what I had just gone thru at the other location they provided me with THE BEST customer service!!! Bobby was at the window and he was such a sweet heart...made sure to accommodate me and make sure I had everything I needed (even when I made a mistake in my drink choice). The app messed my order up and location. Samantha was AWESOME!!!...she not only made sure we got everything we ordered but since our food had now been sitting there for awhile she had it remade!!! They both made my day!!! I was so upset when I got there from that GHETTO W FRANKLIN location. They didn't even know but went above and beyond to make my experience great! Read moreIt never fails that they do not give me at least one thing that I paid for with my pickup order… oftentimes it is multiple items! Done with this place for real, as my husband NEVER checks the bag, regardless of the fact it is the one thing you can count on from this location! EDIT: I did try to use that website to complain, but my complaint was over 1,200 characters (I will complain to the BBB) as I paid for egg rolls that aren’t even offered for sale, that they then, ‘knowingly and willfully’ sent my husband on his merry little way without the ‘paid for’ unavailable items, not bothering to inform him of such (nor intent to refund)… this constitutes fraud! Then the absurdity received from the employees at this franchise in trying to get items missing and a refund for product not even available, is too much too even bother typing!
