Hunan Palace — Restaurant in Georgetown

RUN, DON’T WALK! This place is SO BACK! They are takeout only now but oh my god. My wife and I heard from a friend that they have started doing takeout only now. We ordered General Tso, Lo Mein with Chicken, Spicy Orange Chicken and Crab Rangoons.

The best Crab Rangoons I’ve ever had, they’re so rich and delicious. Absolutely phenomenal taste and a hefty portion.

The General Tso and the Orange Chicken were PACKED to the absolute brim of the to go box. The food was super hot and fresh and absolutely divine.

The Lo Mein was incredible.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, hands down. Truly incredible.

Take it from someone who is obsessed with Asian food (Chinese, Korean BBQ, Sushi, Ramen, you name it) I have ventured far and wide trying all sorts of food and this has to be up there as one of the greatest I’ve ever had. Me and my wife have leftovers for DAYS. And no, it’s not a quantity over quality thing, I mean it literally is so good.

Jennifer was very very sweet. She had such a good conversation with me and I explained to her that I haven’t been there in over 10 years. She told me about her daughter (who I remember ran the register) and how she’s grown up now.

She is so deserving of your business. Please, order something and have her cook it for you. At the very least, you will have a fantastic...

BAD FOOD and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I've had food from the place over the years, sometimes it was "okay" never great. yesterday we spent almost $50 in food and everything was awful. the chicken was tough and had been way overcooked. it was all stuck together so much that a fork wouldn't pull it apart. (one piece breaking off and staying on another) the egg drop soup was no good. i wanted to bring this to the owners attention in a polite way and i did. She was more defensive than anything, i tried being affirmative by saying that it's okay and that everybody makes mistakes. our conversation didn't go far because she started screaming and saying that she has never burned food and that there was nothing she could offer me. My feelings are hurt honestly. She used to be nice, if nothing else. Apparently my family is not even worth an apology or any accountability on their end. Hope she uses that $50 for something nice because it'll be the last $50 they get from our family. West Union is just as close for me as Georgetown and in my opinion they have better Chinese food restaurants and they've never mistreated me for a...

Sadly, after eating at this restaurant for over 10 years the food, service and health compliance standards have worsened to a point where I feel the public should know. I attempted to offer suggestions to the owner with respect to the buffet and she just argued and blamed the two families present for choosing the buffet... Yet, it is open and offered. This was dinner and the heat was turned off when we arrived. Food had crusted and was over cooked and cold. This has been the case for our last two visits. She stated we should, "Order from the menu if we want hot food." . Yet she sells the buffet all day.

We chose to finally leave. We did try to explain to her the health issues... She yelled and told us to leave!!!! It is sad this has occurred... The restaurant is also dirty with dirty plates on tables and a large water leak from the ceiling in service area. Avoid this restaurant...I have reported the situation to the Brown County...
